Three of my fancy colored diamonds qualify for this thread.
Per GIA all three are natural mined diamonds, with color of natural origin.

All are from Leibish & Co. www.fancydiamonds.net

0.28 ct Fancy Intense Blue SI1, with no secondary hue modifier.



0.27 ct Fancy Deep Purplish PInk VVS1



0.33 ct Fancy Vivid Yellow VVS1

Here I threw in the Good Old Gold GIA 2.26 ct F VVS2 Ex Ex asscher with Medium Blue fluorescence, for size and color comparison to a white diamond.

I love step cuts so much!
They are my favorite shape by far.
Too bad so few Fancy Colored Daimodns are step cut.

Notice how the blue seems much larger than the pink even though it's only 0.01 ct heavier.
This is because the pink is deep and the blue is shallow, 83.6% vs. 56.4%.
They yellow's depth is 74.4%

Since you get a kick out of them there are also three pics that you may not have noticed.

My fellow popped the question last weekend, and I want to share my ring because I think of it as the ring that pricescope built. I have lots of pictures to share, but before I get to that, I thought I would share the story of how the ring came to be in case it helps other people like me who come to this site completely new to the fine jewelry game.

Kenny, your step cut colored diamonds are gorgeous. I am still drooling over the purplish pink one.

Lavatea, your tourmaline is a luscious color and looks marvelous in the ring.

PM1742, I love your EC ring. It looks terrific on your hand. We go to a watch store in Denver that has a similar ring that is 6.5 ctw and I try it on every time we go in. I wonder why it’s still in their inventory? LOL. I’d hate to think what it costs.

Marcy I looked high and low on the internet to find one that was that cherry/crimson red in an emerald cut. But I was unable to find one that I liked...too much silk etc. I gave in and contacted two vendors. Within a day Arnold at AJS Gems had written back, sent me photos and a copy of the cert. When it got here it was even better then the photos. I am simply in l ve with this stone. Thank you so much for your kind words, it is nice to have other people agree with me!

CoKitty, it looks like AJS Gems had exactly what you wanted. A dean I used to teach for had an EC ruby to 2 round diamonds on the side. It was a gorgeous ring but I like your side stones better.

A friend of mine at work has an EC wedding set. The whole set is over 2 carats, I am not sure of the exact carat weight of any of it but it sure is pretty and I can see it all the way across the room. I told her tonight I had to take a picture of it and post it on our EC and Asschers thread.
