Well, the ring came in today....boy is it TINY....I''ll be returning it tomorrow! I can''t see how the center stone is .40 carat, but I''m not an expert.

tny? must be lost in the diamond surround.

my e-ring is only 0.49ct and it would be invisible in a setting like that.

Lori, sorry you didn''t like the ring. It is very pretty. Mine EC is .55ct and I tried it with multiple settings but it stood out the best with the solitaire mounting.

Po, thanks again for this great thread.

Bummer, it was such a lovely ring-may I ask where you purchased it?

This thread is AMAZING. Wow -- the bezel set emerald cuts have really quickened my pulse... I have GOT to get a job soon so I can pay off bills and start saving for an EC of my own!

Thanks for putting this together Po. So many gorgeous rings! I wonder if DH would notice if one of his motorcycles went missing...

OMG -- it''s step cut ****! Any time I get sick of sending resumes out on my job search, I will come to this thread. I''ve already promised myself that if I ever find a job (ARGH!!), I am going to pay off my credit cards then buy myself an EC diamond ring. This thread is motivation for me! Thanks, Po!

Hi SCN!
35.gif

It is from eBay seller mode-modern. I have already returned it and they have refunded my money as of today....they will probably relist it soon. I paid $800 for it and just couldn''t justify that amount for what I received. There was a bidding war going on at the end.

Look for Item 330330150032 and you will see the history.

The ring is beautiful, but the whole thing is really small. I had hoped to wear it with my Martin Flyer wedding ring, but the ring would rub against the band and I just couldn''t see them matching at all.

I would rather someone else enjoy it!

Hi Po!
35.gif

I still think the center stone is way less than .40.....the whole ring is TINY....VERY TINY! Pretty, but very small and I couldn''t imagine how small it would be until I actually saw it IRL.

My first diamond was 1/3 carat and this center stone didn''t look that big!

Hi Marcy!

The center stone can''t be .40 ct.....it looks much smaller than that to me.....I''m not into the size of the center stone as I am of the whole ring. The whole ring is TINY and I can''t see wearing it like I had planned. It is much too delicate to wear every day like I had hoped.

Hi Lori. It is so hard to tell how something looks without seeing it and trying it on. That just means you get the fun and joy of continuing to look for the perfect ring.

Hello, Loriken! The RA is 1.21 carats, D color, VVS 2 clarity. The setting is by Eli. I got it in 2007.
