Here is my latest find....''Beautiful Art Deco diamond and emerald ring in white gold. Circa 1930. Marked 14K. With a center square cut diamond of about 4 mm by 4 mm, or .40 carat, and ten other small round diamonds including four at 2 mm and six at 1 mm. With two emeralds of about 1 mm by just under 2 mm. It weighs 2 grams. Ring size 7. The top is 3/8 inch by 5/16 inch. Excellent condition.''
I don''t have it yet....should be here any day now.

OMG -- it''s step cut ****! Any time I get sick of sending resumes out on my job search, I will come to this thread. I''ve already promised myself that if I ever find a job (ARGH!!), I am going to pay off my credit cards then buy myself an EC diamond ring. This thread is motivation for me! Thanks, Po!

tny? must be lost in the diamond surround.
my e-ring is only 0.49ct and it would be invisible in a setting like that.

Lori, sorry you didn''t like the ring. It is very pretty. Mine EC is .55ct and I tried it with multiple settings but it stood out the best with the solitaire mounting.
Po, thanks again for this great thread.

Hi Lori. It is so hard to tell how something looks without seeing it and trying it on. That just means you get the fun and joy of continuing to look for the perfect ring.Date: 5/29/2009 11:44:46 PM

Hi Marcy!
The center stone can''t be .40 ct.....it looks much smaller than that to me.....I''m not into the size of the center stone as I am of the whole ring. The whole ring is TINY and I can''t see wearing it like I had planned. It is much too delicate to wear every day like I had hoped.
