I LOVED This one!! That infinity diamond is INSANE!
Ok, I am officially officially offically in LOVE with this. Pink halo, M color RB... And then this picture on DBL...
WOWWWWWWW

Goodness Enerchi... how did you ever ever leave DBL without running out the door dripping in diamonds?

hmmm... could have been the security system perhaps, but I was ready to make a run for it, if need be!!

(JUST KIDDING DAVID!!!!)

OMG Enerchi, all this gorgeous bling you had to endure. You poor thing! I feel for you!! :cheeky:

Thank you for taking the time to post! Everything DBL has is droolworthy!!!! :lickout:
Glad you are home, safe and sound! Please do plan another NYC visit and perhaps a few PSers can come out and play. :appl:

Missy, I give till it hurts... then I do just a little more.... :halo: ( )
I am definitely going to have to return and I would LOVE to arrange an NYC GTG whenever that date will be! I hope things get better in a flash for you - you've gone thru a lot this past weekend! As have so many of you NYC/NJ area PSers -as we drove out to Newark this morning, thru the Holland Tunnel (or was it Lincoln? I dunno - but it was a tunnel...!) we passed a few long long long line ups and the limo guy said there were line up s like that all over the city, people hoping to get gas. He thought gas trucks were going to be able to get thru today, so I hope you guys have some relief soon!

YAY!! Definitely let's plan on one when you return- Spring is a lovely time in NY! And perhaps we can work on that darn security system David has...JK David!! ;))

Thanks Enerchi- it has been a trying week and with little relief in sight. We cannot return to the shore because we cannot get gas for our car- frustrating. And another storm predicted Wed- please please please go out to sea away from anyone- please!! But putting it all in perspective and so many in worse shape so focusing on helping them and putting my worries aside for a bit. Your thread has been a lovely lovely diversion for me and probably a few others so thank you Enerchi!!

Thanks so much Missy! I know that when I'm looking at things on the internet (perhaps we could use the word "STALKING" and perhaps we could say by "looking", I mean it takes place for hours on end... ;)) ) but I always wonder if the pics are for real or what 's the real size of things. When David said it was ok to take pics, I was doing it initially for my own selfish reasons (playing with diamonds??? uh... HELLOOOOO!!!! what PSer would turn down that offer!) but thought how great to share with others because I lovethreads with tons of pics!!!

Next stop is LV in mid November but I doubt any of the big guns there will allow much of a photo shoot -not to mention that DS#2 does *NOT* have the patience my dear hubby does!! - but if I can take 'em, I'll post 'em!!

Enerchi,

that crafted by infinity diamond in a pink halo is yummy   and I am usually not a fan of pink so that says a lot!

The workmanship of his rings looks absolutely amazing...just looking at the pear ring you tried on and all the intricate details makes me swoon!!! Thanks to you and your patient DH for taking those awesome pics!!! Maybe David should give you a special PSer discount for all the fab photos you took :naughty:

What a wonderful way to spend the day. Great pictures.

Glad you made it home, safe and sound. Thanks for all the awesome eye candy pix!!!!!!!!!

Enerchi - thank you for the marvelous - and lavishly illustrated - trip report! Now I'm torn between booking a trip of my own and squirreling away pennies for one of those pretties!

Thanks so much Enerchi loves me a thread with loads o pics :))

soooooooooooo beautiful!!!!!!!

Wow - just wow! You will now be the official PS reporter and finder of goods! The pictures are wonderful - looks like you had a sparklin' good time!

So glad you were able to go and enjoy in spite of the storm - how cool that you met DougsGirl?

So, did you come home with anything for you? I know you came home with lots of ideas but any sparklies for you?

:wavey: MGR! I was thrilled to meet Dougsgirl!! I think if it hadn't been such a nasty storm with all those NY/NJ area complications, I would guess perhaps a few other PSers may have joined us in "HEAVEN"!

I was there to set my OEC and I visited with all 3 of the PS vendors I wanted to meet with. It is MUCH MUCH harder to set a diamond than I thought it would be! I have a whole new appreciation for the agonizing that goes on! And what I found extra challenging was the internal debate between respecting the antique stone and the vintage era vs. staying in my comfort zone, which is more contemporary and sparkly! I was also quite limited in my budget so that also set some challenges for me. What I'd want and what I could afford were not always in the same zip code! But I did narrow down to 2 settings - both not at all what I thought I was going for! And I remember someone saying, the setting will find the diamond. Its true! It was like "say yes to the dress" when it sat in the right setting, it just looked like it was made for it.. then when the pricing worked out --- it was serendipity! But--- I am still flipping around wondering if I did the right thing. It is hard to say no to one when you want BOTH items! I suck at making decisions. :rodent:

I loved ABSOLUTELY everything at DBL! I don't think I could have picked out a single item that I wanted - it would have to be a whole category I'd love to own! I loved the halo's --- omg! LOVE LOVE LOVED them  !!! - the workmanship was TDF! But I feel that I have giant fat pudgy "baseball mitt" hands and fingers and those beautiful halo's just looked out of proportion on me. When Sandra had them on her lovely hands --- they were PERFECTION! The rings just SANG, they looked exquisite on her!! I soooo badly wish I had younger and thinner hands... but I don't. I am what I am and I can't change it, so as much as I REALLY wanted a halo...I felt that they were too delicate. If you saw me, "delicate" would not be the word you'd use to describe me!

I am counting pennies, posting a kidney on eBay and cleaning out the sofa cushions to find as much extra funding as possible, so I can treat myself to a DBL yellow diamond 5+ radiant band!!! YUMMY!!! I loved those - they suit the width of my hand and I've always been drawn to a yellow diamond which may be why I was so happy to find a very low coloured OEC! Must further investigate design/cost on this, but that would be what I'd love to have taken away from my visit! :D

The feel of the settings was like running your finger over silken metal! So smooth - unbelievable! - and the melee settings were exquisite! DH took some pretty sweet pics but when you look at the ones on the site, you can see how well finished all the rings are. Must be one awesome bench they use!!!

And those claw prongs - TDF! I am officially a claw prong fetish nut!

(discount??? did you say discount??? Oh, I'm all over that :naughty: :appl:  )

Do BOTH! Don't restrict yourself to one or the other... life is short - buy more jewels!!! ;))

I'm sure your choice will be lovely! It is always so much better to be able to try something on before deciding! I can't tell you how many rings I've admired in a case and then put them on and said - eeewww! Not on me! I think it would be very difficult for me to have something custom made for that reason.

It's just nice to have the hands on experience and sounds like you've come away with another 'something' to keep you dreaming and saving! That's what keeps us getting up and going to work every day!

Loved all the pics, thank you! I was leaning towards DBL for a setting until I realized I wanted to use an outside stone and it wasn't possible. His stuff is to die for and I always swing by the website to check out possible affordable colored diamond options for the future. There was a pinky brown asscher - yummmmm! Did you see any of the asschers in person?

Hey there Webdiva!! Oh yes... I saw quite a few asschers! They were stunning IRL! I think the last few loose stones pics above are of the asschers... and then depending on where the lighting was, the colour changed. I saw some yellow and colourless ones... :lickout: :lickout: :lickout:

But that killer Infinity diamond - OMG!!

And anything yellow...

and anything pink...

and that gorgeous FI B/Gr....

:naughty: I have problems with limits and decisions --- could you tell?? ;))

That 5 stone yellow band is really beautiful. It looked very good with your coloring!!
As for funding... Check under the seats in the car too, as well as pockets and old purses:)
My brother found$50.00 in a pair of jeans he tried on in a store once!!!!!

Enerchi, thanks for all the pics! I really want a yellow diamond now!!! Did you end up making it to IDJ? Any eye candy from there??

That marquise in the halo is what caught my eye. Absolutely beautiful. It's not on DBL's website. You wouldn't by chance have the "r" number would you? I'd like to have another look at that one

Hi Satbeachbill - I'm pretty sure this is the one!! The only other yellow marquise is sold and I know it was THERE and on my hand, so I'm going to say --- this is the link! If you are interested in it, I can tell you, its a stunner!!! Gorgeous finishing details and the stone - :lickout: :lickout: :lickout:

Enerchi, thanks for telling me the brown emerald cut was up on DBL's site. I have also been drooling over the yellow marquise with the brown trilliant sides. Did you happen to see that one in person? Every ring you posted was gorgeous!!!!! Thanks for posting so many great pix.

No problem, derbygal!!! I was THRILLED to be able to try on so many BEAUTIFUL pieces - it was a day in heaven for me!!

No, I did not see that one in person - the brown EC halo and Sandra's gorgeous multi coloured brown oval were the only 2 brown ones I saw. Oh --- there was one there but it had just been sold - a STUNNING round brown diamond with a brown halo in YG... OH MY! it was a real beauty, but I did not try it on or take a pic.

Glad you enjoyed the pics!

Lots of beauties, but the cushion haloed yellows...Holy cow.  :appl:

I hear ya!!! THey are so incredible IRL. I have tried on a few during past visits to Tiffany's in Las Vegas - and they are lovely, no doubt - but the finish on these ones, in my opinion, far exceeds the Tiffany ones! It was so hard to take them off and put them back... but knowing there was ANOTHER ring to try on right away --- it helped ease the pain!!

I just love looking and drooling on his website and now I look at the rings and say '"I tried that one on!! Oh and I had that one, too - and that one! and I want this one!!" DH has completely tuned me out....

That's the one. my - o - my. I see today that the wedding band - r3739 - is sold. Did you find enough pocket change?

Bill

  Still looking!! I've literally gone and dragged my hand under all the sofa cushions!! Isn't that insane??? As if finding a few quarters would even make a DENT in that kind of purchase!

No, sorry, I was not the lucky purchaser of r3739... but someone is going to be pretty excited to be wearing that new bling!!! I am desperately craving a lovely yellow band tho. Fingers crossed my Vegas trip finds me a willing slot machine - one ready to hit the JACKPOT after a few pulls!!!

What about you - interested in a little sumpin' sumpin' for someone special??? :Up_to_something: :naughty: :Up_to_something:

Cool! Those are all great pieces ( I mean they are colored diamonds after all), but I especially love the yellow diamonds.

My fav are the big flower with pears, the earrings and the superb marquise. Thanks to share Enerchi, you are a doll!
