I don't think you have to do a handmade piece to get two tone jewelry or to get a brushed finish.
Here is white, yellow and rose gold all in a brushed finish. Also here is a filigree that is brushed yellow gold. The filigree is just a rough idea. I didn't intend for the entire thing to be brushed but rather just the heart scrolls.
I'm mobile so search is limited.
