Hi,

I think I found a stone I like (''A Cut Above H&A'' Round, .78, J, VVS2).

I also found a setting I like - the Hearts of Fire "Felicity Queen Anne Solitaire".

What does the community think? I looked on Whiteflash for a similar setting but didn''t see anything that really called out to me. Also, what are your thoughts on the side clusters versus the traditional pear side stones?

Thanks.

Hi vv,

The HOF setting is very pretty. As for the side rounds vs. pears, it's really two different looks. The cluster of rounds would be more sparkly, a bit more "bling" than the pears. Either would be pretty. The pears are probably more classic, but that doesn't necessarily make that choice better. Which one do you think your girl would like, do you have any idea?

Also, something else to consider would be the price of the setting. WF could custom make one very similar, and there might be a substantial difference in their's vs. the brand setting. Might check on that!

And just a side note, that you may well be aware of, in which case please disregard. You could lower the clarity to VS2 anyway, and still have a very clean diamond. That would allow you to get a bigger carat weight, which is almost always a plus with gals.

HTH!

Thanks for the advice. I was actually looking for a VS1-2, but WF didn''t seem to have any in their current inventory. I''ll email them about the custom setting.

As for her tastes... She is a cut/sparkle/brilliance/fire person. Although she seems to like the pear side stones, I haven''t seen any that really compare to the round clusters (at least in my price range).

Thanks again.

Truthfully, I do not love that HOF setting, although they do have some beautiful ones. What about something like this if she wants a lot of sparkle?

or this for a little less bling

or something like this for lots of tiny sparkles

You''re welcome.

And you might enquire about finding a different stone also. They get new shipments in every six weeks or so, and they can also call around to other suppliers too.

Hi!

I read the forums every now and again looking for people who want to purchase the Clara Ashley ring from Whiteflash. It''s actually my ring and it''s named after me. My fiance designed it for me and only me but whiteflash unfortunately decided to sell the ring to the public even though we really didn''t want them to- at least they allowed us to name it. You obviously have the right to purchase the ring but since the ring was meant for me, I''m sure you can tell I don''t want anyone else to have it. Good luck finding the perfect ring- whiteflash does do amazing work if you should decide to have your ring custom made. But be aware, they might also decide to sell YOUR design to the public.

Thanks for listening!
