I'm still not going back to using it until we know more. Given that our bodies produce erythritol, consuming more of it may be pushing the level too high.
People without risk factors may feel differently about it. For me it's not worth the risk.
i drink tap water
Gary wont and we have to buy him water
some tap water tastes better than others
the water is hard here but it tastes ok,
the water down home was also hard but tasted terrible
I drink only tap water too.
The plastic waste from bottled water makes me sad, so I don't want to contribute to that.
Besides, our tap water tastes fine to me.
I’m mad at myself..I thought I thoroughly read the labels on my vitamin water..It turns out that erythritol is in my vitamin water…I read the article @missy..I just don’t need to take any chances so as much as I love my zero water…I have to give it up. I don’t drink regular purified water like my husband..but I guess I have to start now. My doctor wants me to drink 64 ounces of water a day..
I’m sorry Joanne. It is a pain I know. I have given up so much already I’m willing to take my chances. I hesitate to even mention this but if one is dealing with clotting risk there are supplements one can take to counteract that risk. But as with everything please check with your physician. Nothing I write should be taken as medical advice as I am just sharing my thoughts
I take Pycnogenol 300mg a day in addition to Ubiquinol..This combo helped my heart ejection fraction. My former cardiologist couldn’t explain it but it started increasing after this combo with my Vitamin D. Pycnogenol keeps platelets from aggregating..Since I have borderline and sometimes subnormal platelet levels it also helps thin my blood so the platelets can be individually counted..The cardiologist wrote down what I was taking because he couldn’t believe my ejection fraction started climbing over time. The last one was normal so he discharged me from his care after following me for three years. It’s expensive because I take three a day but I’ll never stop taking it. My platelets are still borderline but I’m trying other supplements for that. I get the blood test works today..I take the Pycnogenol mainly for my ejection fraction..
@MamaBee,
Usually I drink water or herbal tea (chilled or hot.) But sometimes I like to flavor my water, and then I use these, which contain no sweetener. I find they are not so sour as to need sweetening. Local grocery stores carry some of them; check the baking aisle for True Lemon and True Lime if you don't find them in the beverage mixes aisle.
Unsweetened: Hint of Flavor
Looking for an unsweetend drink without all the extra sugar? Try True Lemon unsweetened hint of flavor. These wedge packets are packed with flavor and made with real citrus.www.truelemon.com

Ok..I’m having my coffee with the above Whole Foods Organic Stevia liquid extract. It’s a winner for me! It doesn’t have a weird or bitter taste. I like my coffee pretty sweet so I always used five packets of Truvia in my 16 ounce mug. I have to use 11 drops to where I can taste sweetness. It’s pretty good! This is a keeper!
It doesn't taste like licorice? Because that's why I've never used it - hearing it has an anise flavor. I hate licorice.
@Demon I just had my first cup of coffee..Before I drank it I dropped one drop of the Whole Foods Stevia extract on my tongue to see if it tasted like licorice. It doesn’t taste like it at all..to me anyway. I do taste the alcohol and something else but not licorice. The only things I sweeten are my coffee and hazelnut tea. I use one tablespoon of hazelnut creamer in my coffee so it could affect how the whole cup of coffee tastes because there is a sugar free sweetener in there..along with the Hazelnut flavoring. That’s sweetened with Sucralose and something else..but not erithrytol. Since it’s only 1 tbsp I’m not worried about them.
I agree..That’s why I still use my Hazelnut creamer. As long as it doesn’t t have Erythritol or Aspartame I’m good. I only use one tablespoon anyway.Thank you. I'll pick some up and give it a try. Not going to give up my caramel macchiato creamer though, no matter which sweetener it has in it. Coffee is just not worth drinking if I can't make it taste like something other than coffee.

Does Splenda have this? I looked at the box and didn‘t see this listed as an ingredient.
I gave my coffee extra drops this morning of the Whole Foods Stevia extract to make it as sweet as when I used Truvia. It really tastes good now. I don’t even need the Splenda. The next time I go I’ll get the larger bottle. This will be a keeper for me.
