Eternity band chewing prongs. Need help!

My eternity band is chewing up the prongs on my E ring. Thing is I don't really love wearing a spacer because I don't have a lot of room on my finger. Plus I really like the look of just the E band and E ring. I've tried a super thin spacer and they don't sop the chewing. Even 1.5mm doesn't prevent it. I've been considering re-setting my diamond into a Ritani halo, but it's so different than the look I have a love. Is there any other option to prevent the prong damage, or am I just going to have to be heart broken?

You can sauter (sp?) your set together. They will be connected but still look like separate rings. This will prevent them from rubbing against each other. Only downside is that it limits your options if you like to change up your set.

Will it ruin the rings? Can you ever have them taken apart?

Well after examining my rings, soldering won't work. They don't come close to fitting together. So I guess I'm either going to get the matching eternity band for the diamond, or I'm going to re-set the whole thing :/

It won't ruin the rings, plenty of people do it though it is not popular on PS. And yes they be seperated again but a jeweler will have to do it.

And the distance between the rings shouldn't matter (well within reason). They don't need to sit flush. But you should take it to a jeweler to see if it can or can't be done.

Like SB said, I'm pretty sure they can be soldering at an angle so they don't touch.

I would try to find another spacer that you liked. Personally, I would not want mine soldering.

A different band may be another way to go if you like the look, one that doens't have little prongs to chew at the e-ring.

Soldering is usually done at the bottom of the rings, so it doens't matter if they aren't flush at the top. If done right you could have them cut apart later and won't notice a difference.
