Expensive? CD Singapore

Dear all,

I was quoted SGD $15000.00 for a 1.06 carat F color VS2. Triple excellent GIA cert. The salesperson will throw in a free setting for me. A quick comparison online tells me that this is very expensive coming from a supposedly good diamond co who claims they are collectors and they will be fair.

What do all think?

I am no expert but you are paying way too much. You are paying close to US$ 12,000. Just to give you some perspective of price and quality. I think these are among the best you can get.

Singapore has a 6% tax if you get it shipped to you. I am pretty sure the above diamonds are winners but the experts will chime in on that. You could have your stone shipped to Hong Kong and personally pick it up (just needs some co ordination with the shipper) and make a holiday out of it and save the tax.
