Facets prices went up?

Hey guys,

I was just on the facets website and it seems like the prices went up, skyhigh! Really? I can''t believe this! But oh well, I guess that I will search elsewhere! So upset!

You know...I think you might want to call them. I wonder if it's a mistake. I looked at my wband and the price more than doubled. But the weird thing is that the "retail" price (which is always sky high compared to their prices) is actually LESS than their price.

Which makes me wonder if it's a mistake. I'd call them. Like I wonder if their web guy was supposed to up the retail prices and instead upped their regular prices.

Ditto. I like to browse their site, too and yikes-I can''t imagine they''d more than double their prices overnight! (And if they did, I doubt it''ll help their business!)

That must be an error. No vendor in their right mind would list the the selling price HIGHER than the retail price.

I had noticed this the other day, and thought that maybe they just really had increased their prices that much, but I didn''t notice they were higher vs. the retail prices - that is really funny!

I HOPE that''s a mistake. I know the prices of gold went up, but WOW. I''ve been considering a princess eternity band for a while and the price has gone up twice, but this is by FAR the biggest price jump. It has doubled since I checked in November!

I checked this thread assuming the prices would have been fixed by now. If these are the actual prices I don''t think they''ll be getting much business from PSers! Over $2k for a .34 ctw eternity band is RIDICULOUS.

So, they adjusted the prices this morning, but not back to the old prices-to just below the retail price they list.
A .53 carat shared prong eternity band is $2113-still completely insane.

I emailed them, so hopefully I can find out what is going on and if I need to start looking elsewhere for my wedding band.

Yeah those prices are still ridiculous. But wow-the .34 ctw one is $81 below the listed "retail" price-what a steal!

I got an email back-they are "updating" the website and the correct prices will be up by the afternoon. I am getting quotes on some eternity bands-I have a feeling there will be an increase from the old prices.

It appears Facets raised prices by about 30% on their eternity bands. That seems like a huge jump to make overnight. It can''t be merely due to an increase in platinum prices-they did not raise the prices on their plain platinum bands.

I liked the quality of their bands and that they have them in so many carat weights. However this price jump really turns me off-where else should I look for prong set eternity bands?

Wow, if the right prices are up now then their prices did still increase dramatically. I bet they see their sales decrease dramatically too. The prices are too high by far IMO.

I like my band from BGD. It was *very* well priced and is very low-stance and comfortable.

I am looking for an eternity with prong set rounds in platinum. About .75 tcw, because it should not be more than 2mm. I am getting 2 of them to stack with my eternity e ring.

Wow, I can''t believe the price jump if those are the correct figures listed now. I purchased my wedding band from them in November. I ordered the .74 carat rb channel set eternity band. When I ordered, the price was like ~$1400. About a week or two later the price went up to $1600 or so. I was happy that I decided to order my band super early (wedding is in June)and saved $200. Now my same ring is $2207?? With military discount and shipping my ring came to less than $1300. This was my cost saving strategy from the channel set Tiffany''s band. Maybe not so much on the savings for those looking to purchase now. I do however, love the band. The workmanship is great and the diamonds are sparkly.
