Wow, if the right prices are up now then their prices did still increase dramatically. I bet they see their sales decrease dramatically too. The prices are too high by far IMO.

Ditto. It always puzzles me when companies raise their prices dramatically-do they think customers don't notice? Or are they just looking for new customers who aren't familiar with their previous prices?

I get something like 5-10% to make up for rising metal prices, etc., but their prices were raised by over 50%, not 30%. The .34 ctw shared prong was just $900ish-it's now $1515. Crazy.

Yep, I checked again and prices went slightly down. I guess I will buy Tiffany''s

If any one has suggestions for a princess cut prong set eternity band? Those prices are officially RIDICULOUS!

It appears the prices on some of the rings (channel round and princess and shared prong rounds) have gone back to reasonable levels. My band is now oddly $50 less than what I paid for it. However, some of the bands are still up there like the micropave one i''ve been eyeing. Just thought I would let those who are still in the market know. Hopefully that''s not a typo too

Off to look haven''t checked on them in a while. I hope they aren''t pricing themselves out of the market..I''d hate to see that. But again, haven''t looked at their website in ages. I am just glad, I got my eternity band from them when I first joined PS. I wouldn''t be able to afford it now....

The reason for all of the price changes is they were bought by another company.
I hope they don''t go up too much, but right now the prices are all over the place, The .62 carat eternity band is cheaper than the .53.

Same here. My 7 stone shared prong band now costs 3x what I paid for it less than 5 years ago.

Wow, last March/April I bought a .81 ctw 5 stone from them and I think it was around $2300/2400. It wasnt quite
what I wanted so I sent it back. They are now asking $3840 for it.

Wow, my set went up from ~ $3300 two years ago to $6113.

Simliar sets elsewhere are much less than the $6k price... Guess I won;t be shopping there any more!

I am sad because I really thought that it might''ve been a mistake. I was ready to purchase another wedding band but I guess I won''t be buying from them. I have checked out WF but nothing is interesting me. Do you guys have any suggestions?

I bought a 4.24ct eternity band a little while ago and had it appraised. It only appraised for $1000 more than the listed price now. It says it retails for over $21,000, which isn''t even close. The appraiser said it is excellent quality and workmanship though. They were VS rather than VVS-VS. I wanted the 4.5ct and didn''t realize you could have it made at the time. I looked at Since 1910 and could have gotten a 4.62ct band, but I didn''t find anyone who had experience with them.

Hey Martha! Long time no see!

Check out Yuketiel at http://www.idjewelryonline.com/ - I''ve heard good things about his customer service. Just do a search.

I know what you mean. I was very close to buying my eternity band from there but the prices are just way too high - when you do the conversion to Australian dollars its just not competitive .. I''ve emailed excel diamonds but haven''t heard from them either .. I''m starting to think what else - I''ve even consdiered bluenile !!! their prices seem fairly reasonable and within my budget

but I just don''t know enough about bluenile to purchase from them ..

I know Blue Nile looks okay but...it doesn''t convince me 100 percent!

I know what you mean. Bluenile looks ok, competitive with pricing but am I missing something - I don't know enough about diamonds to know better. I'm thinking of getting in touch with DBL and seeing what they can do - I think David takes care of his clients.

I'm also going to look into this Idonline as suggested above - the prices look fairly good too. Good feedback.

Guys, definitely talk to Yuketiel at ID jewelry. His eternity bands are gorgeous, and his prices are great. And, he is super nice!!!!!

Thank you Ladies! I will defintely check out ID jewelry. The prices are great and the bands are BEAUTIFUL! Better than facets!

I wish facets had a PS presence and could tell us what the deal is.

I just checked out ID Jewelry''s site.

The prices on their eternity bands are excellent for the specs they''re offering, but the prices on their loose stones cost more than other vendors.. i don''t get it?

I was looking at half carat stones. A .52, H, VS1 GIA cost more than my .52, H, VS1 ACA. I looked through a ton of stones and they were all more than WF and JA. Kinda weird as their rings cost much less.. Maybe it''s the ny cynic in me but i don''t think their eternity bands are the specs they claim them to be.

Facets was bought by another company.

It''s unfortunate - they''ve lost my business! I had pretty much decided to purchase my wedding band from them a few weeks ago. I was shocked when i went to their website last night. The shared prong band which was listed for about $1500 is now $2400??

This seems very unprofessional. A few mistakes sometimes, sure, but all that I''ve read in this thread at the same time? I''m not impressed.

I guess what my dilemma now is which band to choose to go with my WF simple tiffany setting, 6 prong. There are so many choices on ID jewelry! The prices are awesome! I would like to get platinum.

Interesting that two brand spanking new members decided to post on this topic.

Bottom line - pricing of products is the heat of any successful business. As an internet vendor, I am shocked that a company can blame a computer glitch for pricing errors. It is their job to make sure their website reflects correct pricing.

Hmm, I got a quote from them today for their channel eternity band. I was considering them because the price quoted to me is so much lower than my first option, but I''m curious to see if anyone''s bought from them since the new owners. I tried searching but didn''t see anything....

Dear Loyal Customers:

I am very pleased to inform everyone that Ralph PJ Diamonds Inc. has purchased The Facets Collection from Signed Pieces this past month and we are now the new owners. However, we still work heavily with Signed Pieces. Nothing has changed about the diamonds or the workmanship and everything is exactly the same as it was.
As you may already know the prices for gold and platinum have significantly increased and the prices on the website have not been updated for over few years. Unfortunately when we bought the company the website prices had not been changed to reflect this increase as a result, we experienced computer glitches that were causing the prices to be even higher. We were working very hard for the past few weeks to get the prices current and as low as possible despite the rise in gold and platinum. Our team has fixed the problem and our prices are finally current. We want to build a good and strong relationship with the new and existing customers and want to assure everyone that like to other companies, a good reputation is very important to us.
We still provide excellent customer service and high quality jewelry. If you give us a chance we will prove to you that we are no different than the original company. As before, if you are not satisfied, you will still have 30 days to return your product for a full refund. We placed dozens of orders since we purchased the company, and all our customers are extremely satisfied.
Again, we apologize for such an experience you had with our website and we reassure you that it’s been taken care of and I hope we can make you be satisfied customers at The Facets Collection.

Thank you,

Raphael Pink
CEO

Thanks for coming on to let us know what''s up facets!

It is a shame, I ended up ordering my eternity band from id jewelery and so far I''ve been so impressed with the customer service. Hopefully I''ll be receiving it shortly. Prior to the prices going up I probably would have gone with facets but to be honest, after the exchange rate, it was just short of prices for what I''d pay for Tiffany''s in Australia, not that I was going to but it demonstrates how much prices went up. By all accounts I''m sure the facets rings are beautiful - just out of my budget
