I love the greenhouses at Biltmore. There was another wedding going on in the gardens, so we had to sneak in, but I was so happy to get to take some photos there.

They call this the boathouse, I think.

A shot of the house itself from the back. We tried to get some pictures of us with it in the background, but we both look terrible in them, so we aren''t using them.

I was *determined* to get pictures on this little stone bridge, but they ended up being really awkward to take, and I tore the back of my dress a little in the process!

I wish I had just gotten up to stand on top of it with DH. That would have been cooler.

We got back from photos while the sun was starting to set.

DH calls this the "Alfred Hitchcock" picture, but I like it!

Our guestbook, complete with cheesy poem by me.

I made the escort cards out of wood veneer using the die-cut machine at work (I''m a teacher). I asked the florist to get branches for them and she brought apple branches complete with leaves and baby apples. It looked cool, but it made it VERY hard for people to find their cards!

Beneath the tree, we placed pictures of DH''s parents and my dad.

Here is a shot of the room. I am a crazy person, so I made the navy/white check table toppers.

We had two types of centerpieces. The big glass containers were from Crate and Barrel and the bird-decorated crocks were custom made by Redwing Pottery in MN. My dad collected antique stoneware, so this was a way for me to incorporate him that he would have absolutely loved.

The middle picture is our sweetheart table - you can see one of our toasting flutes behind the orchid.

Two random notes:
1. Make sure someone knows to get the wrinkles out of your tablecloths. This drives me crazy in all of the pictures.
2. Test your candles if possible. I got the cheapest ones I could find and the result was that they melted ALL over eachother and the bottom of the container. They didn''t look so pretty by the end of dinner.

I made the table number/menu tents out of wood veneer and cotton tape and printed them on my Gocco. Our food was unbelievably yummy, if you can read the menu.

We ended up not really having any kids to use the crayons, but I loved them so much that I put them out anyway!

*Sigh* The cake. It looked great and was delicious, but due to some miscommunication on my part and incompetence on the part of the catering manager, this prettiness was stuck on top of some sort of fugly plexiglass stand. So this is the only shot I like because you can''t see it.

ETA: I just noticed that one of the flowers on the top tier had fallen off! *Double Sigh*

Entrance.

The lighting in this space made photography tough. I switched most of the shots to B/W for that reason. There were some cool dancing shots though!

I like how my dress looks in this one!

First dance. I wish there was a way to show that we learned how to rhumba! It was rough, but I was so proud of us for not falling down!

Cake cutting (you can see the aforementioned plexi-glass if you look carefully)

Okay, I''m done! I have dozens more of wonderful pictures, but since you all don''t know my friends and family, I will spare you!

My photographers, The McCartys of The Light Photography, were amazing. We hardly knew they were there and they did an amazing job of capturing the day.

Thank you for helping me through all of this. I never would have made it through pre-engagement and engagement without you ladies. Pricescope is the best support group a girl could have.

Last dance.
Wow. Your dress looks so amazing here!

Freke: Thank you! I love any of the pictures that show off the lace, and I agree that is one of them.

Dang. I can''t go back and edit.

Is that real grass in the chapel?

It is a runner made out of moss. I completely loved it, but apparently, a few others had trouble walking on it.

I just realized that I probably never posted my renewal STDs or invites, so I will do that here.

Here are the Save the Dates. I drew the illustration and then printed them on my Gocco.

(trying again without personal info!)

Here is the renewal invitation suite. They are basically the same as the originals, but with a different font, and we added a card for the "Welcome Party."

Here is the invite itself:

And the cute squirrel Welcome Party invite! I take full credit for the awful poem.
