Favorite Beers?

To late to edit. But, Sparkly, what general region are you in? (No worries if you don't want to share). There are tons of great regional brews I could suggest, but it doesn't matter if you cannot get them. :wink2:

No prob. I'm in Idaho. There are so many on this list! I'll narrow them down by alcohol volume, the lower the better :cheeky: I've tried the part wine/part beer drinks and really don't like them. Though I've never found a single wine that I can drink.

I like some wines, but there is really no substitute for a good beer, either. DH and I drove cross country this year, and stopped at Portneuf Valley Brewing. I loved the Belligerent Ass Nut Brown Ale! (dumb name, great beer!). I also liked the Krystal Weizen and Midnight Satin. We also stopped at Laughing Dog and I liked the Dogfather Ale.

You can probably also get Big Sky, Maritime Pacific, and Northern Lights. They make great beers, and once you find a style you like, I suggest trying theirs out.

New Belgium 1554 is one of my favorites. :lickout: DH loves most IPAs but there's one from Odell Brewing that is his favorite. How convenient that we live in Colorado where both breweries are located!

I'll have to hunt down some of these PS faves at our local store. There are quite a few I haven't heard of.

DH's Christmas present from me this year is homebrew equipment!! I'm so stoked for him to open the packages... We'll see how his homebrews taste in just a few weeks!

Fat tire from the tap, dales pale ale, pyramid apricot, just to name a few.

For those of us who are dedicated non-alcoholics.

Sprecher Root Beer (local to Milwaukee Wi) This is an original style brewed root beer (not just flavorings mixed with carbonated sugar water). Also available in 1/2 barrels as well. (Sprecher also brews alcoholic beers - and has won a variety of awards).

Old Nimbus Monkeyshine

Thomas Creek Doppelbach

New Belgium 1554

And those are the ones I can think of at the moment. I miss being able to tip a beer.

Tis the season to be jolly...Drinking Santa's Private Reserve-Rogue Ales, best beer ever IMO!!! I just wish I could buy it by the case,my second favorite is Jubelale-Deschutes Brewing which I do buy by the case at costco no less, just love winter ales!!! I also like lots of local beers like Full Sail and Thunderhead IPA's, Scullers and Laguanitas Maximus, Petaluma CA. Lots of really good beers on the west coast now, you have no idea of what you are missing Dancing Fire!!! The best summer beer I think is Iron City from Pittsburgh Brewing, those 16 oz shorties are the perfect size and really great taste, I highly reccomend them. Now to find all the east coast beer that I'm missing here!!! Just bring it on!!!
