Favorite Costco products?

It’s definitely worth it IMO. We get money back at the end of the year based on a percentage of our Costco spending and it is way more than the cost of membership.

I could offer to shop for others too, and can easily spend a couple of hours or more in there.

Before the pandemic I enjoyed perusing Costco. Now we’re in and out in 10 minutes.

Costco is my happy place! It's definitely a great value, but they say the larger supply of stuff you have, the more you consume!! And I discover things I didn't know I needed, but am so glad I did! I absolutely love the Kirkland Signature bed sheets and Charisma towels, they are so fluffy and nice. We also saved thousands buying our car through the Costco Auto program!

Holy cow, I started writing out everything we buy at Costco and that list was a mile long. So the highlights include meat: steak (filet, NY strip, flank) Chuck roasts, whole chickens, pork tenderloins, bacon, shrimp, frozen chicken breast, frozen ground beef. All kinds of vegetables, fruit, & dairy.
Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon, Prosecco, Cabernet.
We love the tuxedo mousse cake for birthdays. The white sheet cake with cheesecake filling is so good, but serves upwards of 40 people, so I’ve only gotten it a couple times for large gatherings.
Misc: black leggings for me, winter coats for my kids, pullovers & pj pants for my husband, chapter book sets for the kids, all kinds of Christmas gifts.

I always picked up a bouquet of roses or mixed flowers to take to my Grandma every month or so through 2019. She loved having something beautiful to look at and I loved giving a gift that I knew she’d enjoy but wouldn’t take up limited space in her room. Now that she’s gone, I buy them for myself. My kids also loved picking them out, so they usually talked my husband into bringing them home when they did the pre-pandemic shopping with him.

I love their ribeyes and crab. I buy 12 or more steaks at a time and freeze them individually.

I just got a 2 oz jar of La Mer cream for about a 100 dollars less than at a department store. That is a huge win in my book. I also have a rebate coming on their credit card of over 1500 and 500 on the membership. We spend quite a bit there.

I use Further foods collagen in my coffee. Their price on the website is great and a couple times a year they discount it $10 a bag. They only let you buy 5 bags. I stock up when things like that go on sale. Same for vitamins and shampoo.

I shan't go to Costco until C19 blows over, as I can't justify driving all the way there for shopping purposes.

You might spend a lot @dk168 but you’ll be saving a fortune

Indeed!

I may look for their hot dog sausages that they sell in their restaurant, and get some for the freezer, as I really like them!

Hopefully, they will have a suitable laptop later in the year as I could do with an upgrade.

We're just a family of 2, so even though we have a membership, we really don't shop there a ton. But we always grab a rotisserie chicken. Always. Their price for breakfast bacon can't be beat. Though we rarely indulge, I love their jumbo croissants for making croissant french toast or breakfast sandwiches. Their individually frozen chicken breasts are super convenient. Their prices for spices & nuts are really good. And we use their dishwashing pods, which per wash are a bargain compared to Cascade. And I can also attest to their eyewear department being fantastic. I've purchased 5+ pair of prescription glasses through Costco at a fraction of the price elsewhere. Also, their OTC allergy meds are insanely cheap.

We love getting their salmon, we bought a vacuum sealer and vacuum seal our meats so they last longer and don't get freezer burn. I also went to one of the Costco Business Centers once because I'm obsessed with Costco and they have different products there, geared towards businesses and have more commercial/professional grade products. Might be a fun adventure for Costco fans post-COVID!

Their toilet paper and paper towels (if you have room for storage!).
Rotisserie chickens, and you can buy packages of hand-pulled breast meat.
Kirkland small MasterCarved ham, USDA Prime meats, individually wrapped wild caught salmon filets, Kirkland dry dog food.
DH likes their Canadian Whiskey when they have it.

We have found that in vacation areas there is almost always a Costco close to the airport. So we stop on the way to our VRBO/AirBnB and get some of their prepared food--a rotisserie chicken, a prepared Caesar salad with chicken, shrimp tray, fruit tray and beverages. That way we have good food without too much effort on vacation.

Here is an article about some of the manufacturers of Kirkland products--

Everything. I have it all delivered to my home. I don’t even have to load all of that heavy stuff into my trunk anymore. I love it.

I love the meats and fresh produce.

Sounds fabulous..... I’ve never been to one, I know there is one in Melbourne but that is a plane flight away from me...

I pretty much do a full sweep of their prepped meals section every time I go :D But more specifically, I love their steaks, cocktail shrimp, frozen Italian meatballs, and croissants. Our Costco also has lemon raspberry muffins now and they're amazing! On a sad note, our Costco no longer carries clam chowder from Boudin and I don't like the new option they have.

Best thread idea ever! Where do I start?

5. organic ground beef and lamb

8. Organic summer fruit
9. Bulk It's It
10. Organic milk
11. Organic brown rice

15. Shampoo
16. Organic chicken
17. Bulk ziplocks

Another thing I love about Costco is sometimes (often) they have products I didn't even know I needed/wanted but I do haha.

I am obsessed with Costco. They pay their employees well and give them good benefits and they have great products at reasonable prices. They have it all and treat their employees well. It makes me feel good to shop there and spend money there and support them. It's a win win. IMO.

And just think--when we are allowed to free range, Costco will hopefully return to having the food samples!

Maybe I’m weird but it’s nice not to have to pass through lines of people waiting for samples lol. People just stand in the middle of everything waiting for food. It was frustrating ::)

When I was there this morning, I had that exact thought! Our Costco is always busy, and while some areas are still congested, it’s so much easier without people stopped for samples all over.

I do miss the pre-covid days when we could leisurely walk up and down every aisle. Now I pretty well get just what we need and get out. It’s too crowded for my comfort.

Those muffins sounded so good when I read this, so I made sure to pick some up today! Looking forward to trying them! Do you ever freeze them? I’m not sure we’ll be able to get through them while they’re fresh.

Oh we definitely freeze some right away. I like to wrap em individually then put them in a gallon freezer bag. Easy to reheat in the microwave, or pop em in the oven if I'm feelin fancy.

Perfect, that’s what I’ll do, too. Thanks!

I am so happy that Covid stopped the food samples. I hope they never go back. Trying to get around people who leave their baskets in the middle of the aisle to get one bite of something makes me crazy. It is #1 on my list of worst pet peeves. I always think to myself that some people act like they haven't eaten in a week waiting for those dang samples!
