I''m a fan of number 1!

I like the first one also, but I think I''m having a hard time "seeing" the second without that crazy pattern. Have you looked for the second though the discount retailers? Maybe you kind find it for a little less...

Oh this is a though one. But I agree with other comments about dress 1, how it really showcases YOUR beauty but it doesnt really sound like its you per say. The second dress looks great too and with the solid background the detailing would be gorgeous and keep the dress from looking plain. You will ultimately be happier with the dress that has you written all over it, and my guess is thats the second one. So go for it girl! Get the one you really

or you will regret it later

Plus I''d LOVE to see that second one without that busy background :)

I prefer #2. The detail just above the knees on #1 seems a bit off.

Definitely the first one. I don''t really care for the back of the second one.

You look amazing in both, but I love number 1!!!! Less is more! And you look so great in it.

Well, both are extremely flattering on you!

I agree with the others that it''s hard to envision #2 without the weird background pattern. And I see what you''re saying about #1 not really having anything going on on top.

But if #2 is really what you love, then don''t listen to any of us!

I think the first one does far more for your figure than the second and frankly, I like it better even though I generally prefer more ornate looks. If you bought the first one you could get a lace bolero or an ornate necklace which would still be cheaper than the other but would give you the visual interest around your face in the pictures.
I think the subtle detailing will give it that wow factor in real life and that one does seem better suited to a garden party. Ultimately, though you have to pick which is best for you.

I like them both, but the first one more for you. You look great in it! It really shows off your fabulous figure.

I actually tried the second one on at a trunk show. I liked it a lot but my friends didn''t. I also didn''t have the curves for it

. I didn''t like the background pattern either, but I knew that I could get it in ivory.

So my vote is for #1, but I also really like #2.

Another vote for number 1. "You" look absolutely amazing in it. I don''t see "you" in the second dress...I just see the dress.

Wow, these are both beautiful dresses, it''s hard to decide.

I am never a fan of the style of #1, but I have to say it''s really nice and looks amazing on you. You have amazing proportions and this dress shows that off quite nice!
I quite like it actually.

And I have to agree on the second being a bit busy, and I really LOVE busy things, so....haha. I think the back of it is unique though.

I don''t think you can go wrong with either really....

Ok, I just asked Bryan my fiance, and he said while the pattern is way too busy, he likes the shape of number 2 better. He agrees the first shows off YOUR shape more, but he despises those kinds of dresses, he says it looks too mermaidish. Why did I even bother asking! LOL!

I guess my vote is for #1....
I won''t speak for Bryan.....YET. That''s AFTER we''re married!!!!

I vote for number 2!

ff i might be late as i never can read all these threads to the end but i LOVE the first one on you!!! It's simple yet flattering and you look dynamite in it!!

i really am not feeling the 2nd one as much. it's too busy for me and i feel like it 'detracts' from your great figure and creamy skin and all that. it just seems like it's got a ton going on. i can see how you find it really beautiful, it is, but it just doesn't hit me like the first one did in the pictures. also that back train thing on the 2nd one is a little over the top for me. but keep in mind i'm a fan of more simple gowns because when you add something like a veil and jewelry and a posh setting, the dress can easily be too overdone which i don't think a lot of people think about. so not sure what your venue is like but i love simplicity...my favorite gowns at weddings i have been to are the most simple ones that highlight the bride and her glowing beauty rather than a lot of other things going on.

that said, man girl you look smoking in both!

eta i see it's outdoor garden wedding but not casual. i def think that the 2nd dress might be too busy for that, but as somone else said, it's really hard to imagine it without the beading. it might be much better without it in terms of visuals and busy-ness. but i still don't like that back puffy faux train thing...it looks like something sprouted from the dress accidentally, like an overgrown part of a chia pet!!

sorry i know i am absolutely no help.

John likes the second one on you hon! So, there you go, six of one half dozen of another. Pick whatever dress, that when you put in on that day, gives you the feeling of being absolutely as beautiful as you can be. Which is sounds like the second dress will do! Can''t wait to see fitting pics.

You guys are awesome! You are giving me so many things to consider that I never would have...like how I could dress up the first dress to make it a little more interesting up top. That said, I may also consider the second dress without the beading. I wasn''t ever a beading person for a wedding dress...I was always looking for something architectural with great lines. The second dress could definitely be that without the beading. But, as far a beading does go...I think the particular beading on this dress is much more beautiful to me than any other beading I''ve seen.

I am going into the bridal salon tomorrow afternoon to discuss the various options with the shop owner. So, I''ll defintiely let you know what comes of the discussion! Thank you ALL so much for your advice/opinions (and thank you for asking your men too, it''s so nice to get guys opinions since it''s really my FI that I want to love the dress on me!)!

Okay, after looking again, I still love #1 on you. I think the idea of having a gorgeous lace bolero made to go with that might give you that little extra oomph you want in making the top and the photos not so plain on the top of the dress. Or you could wear a stunning necklace with it.

As for the second one, I think part of what I dont like about it is that it looks like it could be a red carpet dress, it just doesn''t feel bridey enough to me. The first one is definitely bridal and yet elegant, sophisticated, sexy and contemporary at the same time. The second one has too many other things besides the beading going on. I dont care for the train with that ruffle border and all the tchothkes on it. Just doesn''t seem bridal to me, more like a fancy ball gown dress.

Did that help at all?

they''re STUNNING!

Seriously facetfire, you have such a fantastic figure you would look divine in either one, but I really feel that the first one showcases ''you'' better than the second, it is truly elegant and not distracting to the eye, in my opinion. I love the sleek look of the first one, and few could pull it off, but with a body like yours I''d go for it!!

The first dress LOOKS like it would be hard to walk/dance in. Out of the two I like the second one better (with the ivory background). Probably NOT what you want to hear since it is more expensive!

#1! #1! What a fabulous cut.

#2 is too busy for my taste, and it might ''wear you'', as the expression goes. But you rock #1 like no one''s business.
9.gif

I prefer dress #1 on you. Dress #2 has too much going on I think. I feel like more people are going to be staring at your dress rather than staring at YOU!
2.gif
Don't get me wrong though, both look amazing on you!

My FI votes for number 1, but says "the giant flowers in the front are a little funny"

MEN!

you look HOT in both!
my initial feeling was the first one, as I''m also not so crazy about all that bead detail. But after reading more of where your wedding is and reading your own honest thoughts - i think you should go with the second one - you sound like you really love it! and I can see it fitting really nicely in an outdoor ceremony, the dress seems to flow nicely with your body. The first one seems more structured (and as you mentioned, tight around the knees, restricting movement) and fits an indoor ceremony.

As for the price guilt - hopefully you had a chance to discuss it with the salon and maybe with less beading the price will be better!

good luck!

Holy Crap! Number ONE!!!

Not only is it a STUNNING dress, you look freakin'' amazing in it. Absolutely gorgeous. Period.

Thank you again for all the thoughts/opinions! I went to the salon, and tried #2 on again (I still love it). However, the designer says that she won''t do it without the flowers/beading. She says that it wouldn''t be a reflection of "her." So, I still have to contend with the price...which honestly might just be too much for me. I just don''t know that I can justify it for ONE night''s wear. So, basically, I''m still unsure. But, I need to make a decision by the first week in November, so I guess I better figure it out soon. The funny thing is that I have known for month which invitations I wanted to use, and have never second-guessed those. I wish the dress could be like that! :)

Well then, here''s another vote for number 1. #2, while beautiful, looks like it could have a party all by itself, whereas the first one is what it should be...an accent on a gal who''s gonna be a gorgeous bride!

They both look great on you.

I like the first one, but IDK... seeing it from the side, it looks like the flower is just stuck on there... maybe if it was not sticking out so far? IDK. It is a pretty dress and flattering on you, but I think it could have been better.

I like the 2nd one better. I just really love the style- I love the back and I love the cherry blossom like details trailing down the front. Typically, I wouldn''t like something with so much going on... but IDK... I just really, really love it! It''s unique and I don''t think OTT. It''s flattering as well. My vote goes to #2!

HEY FF!
I really hope I''m not too late with my little weigh-in...

FIrst of all, you are stunning. WOW. I always fancied your ring, but I had no idea the beauty that was wearing that ring! Holy Smokeshow!

That said, I absolutley love #1 with the flowers. I remember from long-ago posts that you loved the trumpet style (right?) and I think this one is a GORGEOUS and edgy trumpet that is not only unique but FLATTERS your bangin'' bod!
3.gif

Number 2, IMO, is a little bit bulky in comparisson, and I think what I dont like about it is that the front of the skirt is not tight. I would have rather seen almost a "column" like front, combined with the heavier kick-back. I think that juxtaposition would have been more interesting than the sort of ''bulky'' fabric all over. *cringe* sorry. That''s only my opinion, and I know a lot of people would disagree with me.

I say #1 all the way. You are creative - you can add drama and intrigue with your accessories and hair. WHAT FUN!
