finally decided on my wedding band!! I''m excited!

Hi all,
Thanks for all of the help deciding between..... a 5-stone band, or an eternity band with smaller stones, or a half-sapphire/diamond eternity band, big stones/vs. smaller stones....well you get the idea, it took me a while to decide.

In the end I managed to come full circle and went with the "classic" ring. A simple 5-stone wedding band with larger stones. All of your pictures, photoshop images, and ideas really helped. DeeJay, your ring was the ultimate inspiration that helped me decide to go with "the big stones" LOL!!! Diamondseeker, your lovely 7-stone memoire really helped me decide between eternity/5-stone. It is a classic look with the about the same appearance as an eternity band. Thanks ladies!


I pulled the trigger with WF and told them I was ready to buy:
-I decided on the "big" five stone idea (.30 carats a piece)
-u-shaped setting with shared prongs and a thin shank, platinum

Kcoursolle, I am sure I''m getting a plain band , not sure if I want knife edge, or decorated in some way, or just plain plain! I will get a diamond band at some point, but eh. I''ve been so clumsy lately I think I''ll ask for a diamond one for our 1yr.

I want to be sure that I have one band forever, and that''ll be the plain one, engraved and pass down-able.

If I do get a diamond band, I want either 11 stones or 5, both are my lucky numbers. Is whiteflash going to do your band?

I think you''ve emade a great choice! Everytime I grip something I think how glad I am that diamonds and prong tips are not getting beat up! So I still don''t regret not going full eternity. But I do hope to get one someday just to wear for special occasions, just not 24/7.

Yes, WF will be making my band. I thought about going with signed pieces, but I was not impressed with their service when I contacted them, and I like the assurance of well-cut stones from WF. Your band band ideas sound beautiful, it will be fun to see what you end up with.

Thanks diamondseeker, it think it was the right choice too. Eternity bands are so pretty, but just not as practical. I would have had to go with much smaller stones as well with a full eternity. This band is going to be pretty blingy! I think the 5-stone band will be much more comfortable as well.

What do you think of these stones?? This is what WF suggested for well-matched stones so far. I will make sure the H/SI is eye-clean.

It does look a lot like hers, and DeeJay''s eternity band too! Do you missgotrocks finger size by chance? I looked through the thread, but I didn''t see it. I think her band was even larger than mine with .40s.

Thanks milly! I can''t wait to see it too! I''m not sure how long it will take yet, since they are still finalizing the stones and the setting design with the production crew. I will let you know when I have an idea.
