I am soooo excited about the location... the Presidio is right next to the Golden Gate Bridge, and has great views of they bay- you can see ALcatraz from the chapel, and glimpse the Palace of Fine Arts too!! I''m in love!

oh flopkins!! they are lovely! I love the chapel.. it has so much charachter... and especially the inside of the reception hall. I love big old rooms with chandeliers like that!!

how fantastic that you will have view of the bay and the golden gate bridge too! It will be fantastic and wonderful!!

That''s a lovely place!!! [:appl:

Ohhh, both sites are wonderful! I bet you will get great photos with the combined beauty of the sites and the views. and I hope you go to the Palace of Fine Arts for a few photos...when I visited a few years ago there were all these beautiful brides & grooms having photos taken and I got all misty-eyed.....

Flopkins-

the Presidio is a wonderful place to get married and have reception....so lovely. What time of year are you getting married? I live down the Peninsula, and love to go walking through the Presidio.

Flopkins - How exciting to have that settled! It is just lovely!

I can see all the swirl of activity taking place there.

Congrats, Flopkins, they both look amazing!

thanks for the great compliments everyone!

ms- the officer''s club is a historic building, actually the chapel is too, the officer''s club is believed to be one of the oldest buildings in San Francisco, and was rebuilt after an earthquake back in the day... it has the old Spanish adobe feel, it''s wonderful!

ffairfax- i will definitely be taking pics in front of the palace of fine arts... it''s rather unfortunate, they''ve put up an ugly fence around the lake now (maybe a liability issue??!) but the photographer will have to take it out. There are so many gorgeous places right near there - a few other must do pic spots are at the LEgion of Honor , Baker beach w/the golden gate in the background...

jenwill- we haven''t signed anything yet, but if all goes well, it''ll be april 8, 2006... if you''re out walking that day, and you pass by the chapel at 11 AM... ill be there!! hehe i only hope that it wont be terribly foggy...

Your church is beautiful!!!! Is it old??? Lovely!!!! here is a pic of where I am getting married- the chape faces the hudson river, it is a restored church from the 1800''s

The officers club looks like an amazing place for your reception !!! Love the chapel, too!!

Very nice choice of location. It reminds me a little of the Mission Dolores.

My senior ball was in Presidio. It''s so pretty there. Congratulations.
