The noir quality was not really intentional. The wedding was full of unexpected...um...trials, so we just rocked what we got (bad weather, late flowers, wrong cake, etc.). It was supposed to have been in a beautiful white tent, but with the weather being 30 degrees colder than normal, we moved it indoors to the hotel lobby. I think maybe the effect comes from the abundance of indoor pics, maybe? Some of the pictures are in front of/inside of the Cave Bar in the lobby, some in our room, others she chose to make sepia or do some sort of effect to. I had no idea what I was doing when I planned this thing other than I wanted it to be pretty & fun, which I think it was, but as for my vision, there was never a super clear one.

We're really happy with the pics. I get the impression she hasn't gotten a whole ton of weddings under her belt yet, but maybe that keeps her perspective fresh. I only wish she'd gotten more pics of our guests. We had 200 people & probably only 20 of them are in photos!
