Oh Cleo! What a beautiful kitty! So here's an update on my spinel. I am thinking of having danielm set it in a pendant like this:

When I look at it, I see pendant, but the thing is, I won't be able to admire it as much. Of course, I also have to stick my hands inside equipment all day so I tend to not wear my rings to work anyways, so maybe I should learn to love a pendant? AVR are out of the question financially now, but a vendor has a nice spess that is almost the same size, what about pink and orange for a bypass ring......What do you guys think?

Sometimes I just prop my necklaces in a little box and stare at them all day. You can always do that to see it more.

Wow, really nice burma! I love the cut. Did you get it from finewater as well?

The Burma is 3 carats, from master cut gems (dana). Hard to get a good picture of it but its beautiful.

This setting by James Allen is similar to the Etsy one you posted and you could avoid the customs issues...I bet they could make it in rose gold if you wanted.

Beautiful spinel. I really like the look of pink and orange together and it reminded me of the pic of this ring I have saved in my inspiration folder. This is a rhodolite and a spess, but I think it would look great with pink. (Not sure where I found the pic - if it belongs to someone on this forum, sorry for not citing it.)

The stone is with danielm being set into that sliding halo pendant. Just a few weeks.

That is going to be seriously gorgeous!

An idea - have Daniel use a straight gallery, instead of circles, and get a pearl necklace with little hooks instead of a clasp. It can then clip on the gallery and the pendant becomes the clasp. Pale pink pearls...

What a great choice for your spinel! It's gonna be spectacular in that setting. I don't wear pendants much either, but I'd sure flaunt that one around.

All the kitties are just as sparkly as the stones! I think your Siamese is trying to fit into the spinel box. Anything's worth trying, right? My cats cram themselves into teeny containers or bags, then sit there happily, looking like bread dough left to rise too long. I want to cuddle your Maine Coon, what a sweet face. And Jent, yours looks like a breath of beautiful foggy mist. Pretty pretty cat.
