Finishing out a year of projects with Julia Kay Taylor

Aoife, that ring is just stunning! I love the placement of the diamonds, the openness of the filigree/swirls and the color of the gold with the color of the spinel. Really well done!

Lovely pieces, very pretty!!

I think Julia does her best work when she's inspired rather than told what to do. She came through beautifully with these pieces!

Thank you, Minou. The thing that I really appreciated about the design on the ring is that over the course of 6 projects, Julia had obviously been paying very close attention to what I like and don't like, and as the ring was close to completion, suggested a small change in the design that made my heart go pitter-pat. It's one of the things that I totally love about working with her.

Thank you, jstarfireb.

That was my observation, too, with JKT. I can be extremely nit-picky about my jewelry, and perseverate over every tiny detail, but I also know that there are some artists who don't work well that way. It's not that they can't work that way, it's that they just don't produce their most inspired pieces with a client twitching at them, and I'm guessing that JKT falls into that category. And I say that as someone who has been known to do my fair share of twitiching :saint: .
