For Aussiegirl: My dogs

I love Danes but was always leery of getting one because I have heard that, like mastiffs, they can have many joint problems and are a little fragile?


Your big guys are so cute! Our Akitas look all noble sometimes too,but really they are just large doofuses.

Mara-- I''m sure that Portia is twice the dog that mine danes are, though. Size is nothing!
Brightspot---it''s true, they are GREAT apartment dogs, and fold up amazingly small for long car trips, or afternoon naps in your bed. They do have a crazy puppy stage, but once they grow up, they''re the best.
Dee*Jay---sometime having a "buddy" is just what a demon dog needs lol!
Albi--- read what Brightspot said about apartments---there''s clearly a beautiful dane in Gypsie''s rescue organization who could use a home! (push push)
Rainbowtrout--- it''s true, they are a little fragile, they don''t like the cold or the heat. I have to put them in jackets on extremely cold days. They''re also emotionally fragile, they get their feelings hurt pretty easily!
