Sooo after my heartbreak I tried to think of ways to modify the ring and still like it.

I don't think this is better, because the original has such a perfect simplicity to it. But, I like it, it has a little more of my personality and claw prongs which I desperately want.

It is basically a mash up of two different rings which I afraid to post, because in comparison this won't look as good!

The corner petals split into double claw prongs, which I don't think is really clear in the mock up.

What do you all think?

I think that it could be lovely, assuming that whoever makes it for you can do delicate work. That's part of what's so stunning about the McT & McC's setting (IMO)...who were you thinking of have make it?

I don't know, maybe Leon? I don't recall seeing any engraving work on his site. I'm sure he would be great at it, not sure it is something he would want to do?

I think Leon does engraving. It's worth asking. The first vendors that come to mind for me after Leon would be Jewels by Erica Grace and Singlestone. They could both pull this off beautifully.

I would contact singlestone, and I would send them the original images and let THEM suggest changes, since they are the creative ones who can probbaly make suggestions you cannot even imagine!

oooo OK I'll have to check out singlestone

Thanks :wavey:

Just biding my time until I get to see stones - 9 more days!

:appl: :appl: :appl:

What is the price range for singlestone settings?

Maytal Hannah comes to mind for this ring. Her work shows a lot of delicate engraving and mixed metals. She's much more flexible than Leon in what she is willing to do with a design.

Thank you Swingirl!

CCL- I am wondering that as well. I will send them an e-mail, but if anyone knows off hand what kind of prices they have, that would be great!

The design looks kind of wierd from the top, but I am sure one of these ringmakers can figure out a good way to do it.

Thanks for the suggestions. =)

Looks like an MC2 setting. Try McTegue or Mc2.

I think this design has a lot of potential! Good luck on your consultation.
