G versus I diamond color. Is it worth a trade in for an upgrade?

It’s here! Picked up after work.

WOW. The detailing is amazing. It looks much more “delicate” than I imagined. Exquisitely crafted. My fiancé’s said it makes the diamond look bigger. An unexpected design feature is from the side the diamond looks like it’s floating over my finger.

I can’t get a good picture of it with my phone. They’re all blurry. Will try tomorrow in the sunlight. It’s better than I expected. The basket is what I thought I loved so much about the design. It’s gorgeous, but the side view - the diamond daintily hovering over my finger, wow. Was not expecting that.

How does Vatche do this?

I love the petite claws someone suggested. They “disappear” drawing so much more attention to the diamond.

I’m m in a conundrum.

We’re heading to San Diego. We were thinking about eloping here.

Got my ering and the wedding band made together.

We left the wedding band at home!!!!
I’m so bummed!!!
Do we
1: get a stand in band until we get home
2: use my ering, wear the band when we get home
3: or, not elope here and plan a different destination?

I REALLY wanted my wedding ring to be THE ONE I wear for the rest of my life. The one he puts on my finger when we get married.

I also left the dress I was going to wear. I could buy one here.

We backed fast because we went to the beach Saturday. Forgot the wedding band, my dress and sandals

If you are okay with a different dress, I would go ahead and use your engagement ring for the ceremony, and have him place your wedding ring on your finger over a romantic evening when you get back. But that’s just me. I don’t wear either of my original rings because they got damaged through the years. Congrats on your impending nuptials!!

We might be too crammed for time. Came here for the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert and leaving Thursday.

We’d have to get marriage license tomorrow, find someone to do it, find a dress, get some flowers, and find a spot on the beach. Wednesday am before the concert would be our best time / only time to do it. I don’t know how to get the license in to make it official but it would be fun!! And cool on the day of the concert!!! They’ve been on my bucket list for years.

This picture does not show the full rainbows it was reflecting on the plane. The bottom right, at one point there were 3 big rainbows that hit the wall more vivid and vibrant. I didn’t get a chance to capture it before the plane turned for takeoff. We were sitting in the front and two of the flight attendants saw it and said to the girl beside her “whoa! Have you ever seen a diamond do that?!?” It was crazy blinding brightness.

I love this setting. I’ve noticed my “tweaks” with the bars make the profile subtly different than standard Vatche setting on the website. The cathedral mounting doesn’t come up as high and the bars are lower showing more of diamond from the side view. But I think it looks ok.

Wondering if this allows more light to pass thru the diamond. It seems to have more sparkle but maybe that’s just inherent to the setting.

Do y’all think it looks ok?

We did not elope. TBH, San Diego wasn’t what we thought it would be. I realized the beaches in our “backyard” are incredibly more beautiful. We live near Pensacola. That’s where we’ll get married.

The proposal was at Horn Island. Gorgeous natural preserve island. I’d love to get married there but you can only get there by boat. The pics are when we got engaged.

Best part of San Diego was the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert. That was AMAZING!
