i researched and found the perfect garter on angelthreads.com. i was in touch via email and placed an order for a white silk garter with silver monogrammed letters and a date on the inside in blue lettering. she emailed me saying no problem and i told her i''d call with cc info. this was tuesday. i can''t get anyone on the number listed and the answer machine is full so i can''t leave a message to call me. i wrote another email to her stating that i can''t get in touch to please call me asap to get my info. no word.

so, i need to find another place to get one of these garters. anyone have any recommendations??

here''s a pic from the website.

thanks! whew... i know.

another question about garters - do you wear them down the aisle? or would that be too bothersome? i was planning on that being my something blue...

I''m not planning on wearing a garter, so I''m not really up on all my garter etiquette.

But I do remember that my friend wore hers, BUT she had to wear it almost down by her ankle. One thing she hadn''t taken into consideration before was the tightness of the garter, so check that for comfort first!! She has totally normal sized legs and is skinny so it was just bizarre how tight the garter was on her. She would have completely lost circulation if she put it where people normally do for long! But she just wore it (as her something blue) pretty low on her leg for the ceremony and then snuck away just before the garter toss to scoot it up to normal height.

i know i''m not wearing it for the entire day. i was just planning on down the aisle and right before i left the reception, slipping away to the restroom to put it on. FI doesn''t know i''m wearing one. and i''m not tossing it.

I wore a garter from the moment I got dressed, until when DH and I got to the bridal suite. It was a bit of a pain, but it was my "something blue" I started out wearing it high up on my thigh, and moved it down to just above my knee about an hour later and it felt better there. It too was a total surprise to him- it was a RedSox garter, as he's a huge fan. We also didn't do a toss.

LOVE your garter- the monogram gives it a nice touch!

I wore 2 the entire day, from 1pm till midnight, until we tossed the lower one that is. The upper one I wore on my thigh as my keepsake garter, the lower one I wore below my knee as my something blue/toss garter. At first they were a little itchy but I forgot about them until it was time to toss.

i hadn''t planned on wearing a garter, but my maid of honor gave my one the morning of the wedding. i was touched and put it one when i got dressed. i didn''t even notice it all day. we didn''t do a toss so my new husband just "found" it after we got back to the bridal suite. i guess i was just lucky to get a comfortable one.

i bought an adorable chicago cubs garter (also my something blue). I forgot to put it on while i was getting ready, and sent a BM up to my room to get it during the reception. I literally put it on a few minutes before the garter toss. I know the garter toss is outdated, but I really wanted to do it! I had picked great music (beastie boys, girls girls girls) but the music never got put on my ipod.....needless to say, we couldve gone without the garter toss!
