Has anyone commissioned a lab stone from him recently? Interested in hearing about your experiences

Are you looking to do one from him and want some feedback beforehand or wanting to compare with your own recent experience?

Possibly start a new thread specifically for that (and in the lab forum ) and someone might chime in, instead of this thread geared towards his drops.

I usually try to list only the current drop, but I missed the last 1 or 2 so I’m just throwing it all in. That blue sapphire looks gorgeous (sad I missed that one) and the hot pink sapphire looks so bright!

Saw a new drop last night. That mahenge garnet is almost 5 carats. If I wasn’t on band island I would be seriously tempted. The orange garnet looks beautiful too.

It was gone within three hours of posting. On Gene’s website, I mean. I was tempted for a minute, too, but right now I need my funds elsewhere. One moment I was looking at it, and next time I refreshed the page it was sold.

I’m really hoping a PSer snagged that partí sapphire. I think they’re so freaking cool and I’d love to see more pics. Do we have any PSers with partí sapphires? I think I’m going to spend some time searching now.

I looked it up. It says they have an moh of 7.5 to 8, which isn’t too shabby. Better than some of the tourmaline I have, I think. Who cares about them getting dirty quickly. I can clean it as well as the next guy. Lol.
