Hi everyone!

I am new to this board, but I wanted to suggest a proposal idea.

I actually saw this new show that airs on the Life Network here in Canada called Say Yes and Marry Me. It is real life proposals where the proposee has no idea what is going on until the proposer pops the question. The one I saw took place at a Toronto Raptor''s Basketball game. It looks like a really neat show. I checked out their website and you can submit your name and proposal idea, and if they like it, you can pop the question on their show.

If anyone is interested in checking it out the web link is www.marrymetv.ca. You can contact the show from there. It is definately an unexpected and innovative way to propose and after watching the show, it looks like they will do a proposal wherever you want it to be. I am considering doing it myself but I am not quite ready....soon enough !

Anyway check it out...it looks like fun!

That sounds like a show in the USA on the TLC network. I think it's called Perfect Proposal.

I just watched "Perfect Proposal". I am such a sucker for that stuff.

The most memorable proposal/wedding stuff I've ever seen on TV was on the now-defunct Jenny Jones Show. Her producers would find some poor woman who had been dating her boyfriend for 5 or 10 years and set up an entire wedding without telling the prospective groom anything. Then they would trick him into showing up at the church, and when he saw everyone, it was, "Surprise! You're getting married!"

Not all of them went along with it...

Oh, how horrible! Yuck! I can't imagine why people would want to have such a private moment on TV. If someone proposed to me that way, I would certainly say no.

I would hate to start my marriage off that way....
