Girlfriend broke the wax mold of her e-ring. How big a deal?

Jeweler let me take it home and she put it on and it broke into 3 pieces!!!

How big of a deal is this? Did someone sweat behind a bench for hours making this thing or do they just send a CAD to a 3D printer these days? I'm nervous about what this is going to cost me.

My guess is that it's no big deal. Been there, done that. I've smashed wax molds into dust more times than I can count. He probably just needs to inject wax into the mold again and he can have another one made in a jiffy.

Unless it is hand carved and it's split in the middle of some design element.
