I''m looking for a good eye shadow primer for oily skin. I''ve heard a lot about Urban Decay''s Primer Potion but when I read the reviews I saw that a number of people noted that it was great for drier skin but not so good for oily skin... and my eyelids are oily.

Any recommendations for a good eye shadow primer (that''s not too expensive) for oily skin?

I use laura mercier eye shadow primer but I tend to have more normal to oily skin. I can''t remember how much it costs.

I use Urban Decay's primer every single day and I cannot live without this stuff! I absolutely love it! The only way my shadow comes off is when I take it off with eye-makeup remover at night (close to 14 hours later)....

ETA - I have pretty normal/combination skin, so I can't vouch for the dry/oily issues.

LOVE the one by Amazing Cosmetic...they also have some great powders that I use when I feel oily during the day

I use urban decay and read that it works well w/oily skin. If you have as sephora by you, you can purchase there and if you don''t like the primer, they''ll exchange it for you.

I use Urban Decay's Primer Potion and LOOOOVE it. My eyelids get very oily and my shadow creases, but since I've been using the PP, it's been a miracle...no more oily lids!!

I have found that you don't need a lot, and that you should wait a few minutes before putting shadow on. You may have to play around with the amount to use at first (at least I did).

I can't stress the awesomeness of this product enough!

eta: I also will dab a little on my lashes and it helps to keep mascara in place better. I will sometimes put a tiny amount on my lower lid and it will help keep eyeliner in place all day. The only thing with that is you have to be careful about the liner application because it's hard to smudge if you want a soft line. I usually start out with a faint line and keep adding until I get the desired look.

I use the Urban Decay Primer Potion as well, and I have oily lids... if I do not use any primer my shadow creases within 30 mins. With the UD it literally lasts all day until I wash it off.

I have pretty oily skin and I love the Urban Decay one - works like a charm for me, shadow doesn''t budge until I take it off

I''m a MAC girl so I have to put in a word for my product

I have oily skin and up until about a year and a half ago my eye shadow would always crease by the end of the day. Then, one day, I got a "makeover" at the MAC counter, in the morning, AND, was able to go out that night with the same makeup, no retouching, nothing!!! They used, and I now use, MAC Paint in Bare Canvas! It is wonderful...a godsend LOL

I use Bare Minerals Bisque product. I believe it''s supposed to be a concealer (which I need for the blue veins in my lids), but it works really well for a primer. I''m even able to use cream eye shadows and they don''t crease.

Another vote of confidence here for Bare Minerals Bisque.
