So I finally popped the question last week and my fiance and I are going away for the weekend to celebrate. I just wanted to thank everyone on here for their advice and guidance, she just loved the diamond and setting! Since I no longer have to keep things a secret I was able to take the time today and get the e-ring appraised.
After looking up appraisers on pricescope, I chose Patrick Davis over at GemSecure Jewelry Appraisal. The entire experience couldn't have gone better. Patrick was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain to my fiance and I, the evaluation process, how insurance is handled and was spot on with the diamond grading. His office is full of different evaluation tools which he uses to ensure an accurate appraisal. Overall, we were very impressed and I left his office even more positive that I made a great purchase. So if any Los Angeles PS'ers need an appraisal done, take my advice and make an appointment with him.
