Hi all,

I was quoted USD6,700 for the following specs below. The stone seems good. I was also told by the jeweler that this stone comes with a FULL GIA report (normally only diamonds above 1 Ct will get a FULL Report). Is that representation true? Am i getting a good buy? Appreciate your comments!

The submitter/seller chooses what report is issued. The smaller dossier is indeed typical for diamonds under 1.00ct, although I frequently see DGRs issued for 0.9X diamonds. Ultimately the jeweler's assertion is correct; it's nice to have the DGR.

By the numbers the diamond seems promising. Precise specifics of cut-consistency, 3D optical precision, and other factors beyond the given grading report data can swing price +/- 20% (or more) behind industry doors. Details of color and clarity also influence things to a degree we can't know without an in-person assessment. From the data give the price is in a reasonable retail range in today's market.
