I have started dress shopping, and have a couple finalists right now. But I stumbled last night on a dress that I had loved from my sister''s bridal magazines, when she was married a little while ago. I LOVE the train on this baby, and was wondering if anyone has seen it in person? Also, I can''t find style numbers...and I know Romona Keveza is expensive, but does anyone have a price range that they tend to run? Probably way out of my budget, but maybe since it is a few years old, I can find a pre-worn dress. A girl can dream, right?

Facetfire has a dress that looks to be from the same collection. She would, most likely, be the best person to ask.

I know I had seen that dress before! It''s absolutely gorgeous.`At one of the consingment stores I was at the other day they had a couple of RK dresses and they seemed to be in the price range of $2k upwards when they were full price. Hopefully you can get a second hand one for less.

I tried that dress on about a year ago at a shop in NC. Their sample was well-worn, so I'm not sure it gave me the best idea of the dress. I think that beautiful shot was in a lot of magazines, so a lot of women wanted to try the dress on. It was very elegant, but the train was VERY heavy. All that detail means a lot of fabric back there to weigh you down. I remember it costing new somewhere in the 4k range. There is always a chance you could find one used. It is from a few years ago, so I am not sure how many will be popping up. I'd keep an eye on www.preownedweddingdresses.com and www.sellyourweddingdress.com

I hope that helps!

I do know a girl who has this dress and is selling it. Well, it''s not exactly this dress b/c the buttons go all the way down the back.

I have been looking at Romona Keveza too. I live in the Bay Area, and I can''t find ONE place that has the styles that I''m looking at (706, 702, and 661). Sigh...

Its hard to tell from the picture, but I think the style number is RK661. If that might help your search.

Here''s a very similar dress from Maggie Sottero. The AD1001. I looked at this one and the prices are reasonable.

Please tell me its just the camera angle. HOW SKINNY IS THAT MODEL!?! I should send her some of our leftover cake from last night''s party.

hahaha I think there is definitely some airbrushing going on...you can see it on the left side of her waist...no ones waist goes in like that from the side. I find Maggie Sottero models all to be extremely skinny and airbrushed...I guess maybe to show how the corset back pulls in the waist?

That dress is really pretty though...both the RK and the MS. The RK definitely looks much higher in quality but that''s what you get for 3-4x the price!!

I came across an Alvina Valenta from the 2006 collection that is similar:
Their prices are better than Rk, but I still felt the material was finer quality, at least in the dresses I tried on.

a friend of mine who got married last fall had that dress...let me tell you in person it is amazing, simply stunning

Is this the dress? http://cgi.ebay.com/ks-Romona-Keveza-338-Ivory-Silk-Mikado-Bridal-Gown-10_W0QQitemZ170206777892QQihZ007QQcategoryZ63851QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem

I hope the link works. The Ebay auction would not let me save the pictures to post here, but it does look like the same RK dress. The seller is taking Best Offer! ks Romona Keveza 338 Ivory Silk Mikado

What dress did you buy?? This dress that you posted is just lovely, btw . . . . There''s nothing wrong with buying two dresses, really. Am I a terrible person for saying that? An enabler? The eBay dress is very expensive, but if it''s your size, you could sell the other one, you love it, and you can afford it, you only get married once, right?

Am I a terrible person for saying that?
