Hi every one, this is my first time to write in this forum and i hope its not the last, i am an opal lover and collector send me your own ones pics so i can have a look at and i ll send mine.

Looks neat! My mother had friends who mined opals and had a huge strike in Coober Pedy many many years ago...

Well, this isn''t mine....but I''ve lusted after it for years:

It''s an antique piece, with a 10ct ''reversable'' opal. I saw it in real life at a jewelry show and almost fainted. It was the most beautiful opal I''d ever seen. You could see it glowing from across the room!

The ''red'' side is a truer red IRL than the orangy color the picture suggests..

It was INSANELY expensive....but one can always dream!
