Happy Sunday kids!

Curby, I'm glad you got your earring retrieved! Do you have any hoops you might be able to get on and off easier so you don't have to mess with two pieces? I forgot about your lifting... Is here anything you can still do? Like maybe squats with Marty holding the bar on the side of your bad arm? I definitely feel lighter without all the hair! The bad news is I forgot that my hair wants to curl UP at the nape of my neck, even though it goes under everywhere else. I can't remember if I can make it go under with a hair dryer and round brush or if I just have to live with it until it gets a little longer. I guess today's hair will be an experiment. Better to figure it now than tomorrow when I have to go into the office, but what a big PITA if I have to actually DO something with it every day instead of just letting it air dry. Ugh.

Yesterday I (obviously) got my hair cut and then ran to the furrier to pick up a lambskin jacket I'd taken over a while ago to get relined. It turned out great! They also moved the hooks and this is now a really stylish piece that actually fits me, LOL. No listing pictures were taken yesterday, but I've got glasses washed and on the counter right now for about ten so once I get up and rolling that will happen! Liam just came up and asked me if I thought the eggs were still good because he and YF want pancakes. Welllll.... they've be in there long enough that they can vote now, so my guess is no. But he's going to break one up and see what happens. If you get a text from me later saying I'm sitting in the waiting room of the emergency room you'll understand why! Notice I said the waiting room. I'll be the one on the hard plastic chair playing solitaire on my phone while they get treated because I'm certainly not going to eat these pancakes, regardless of what he decides about the egg!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, I was glad I was able to retreive my earring. I did try to use some leverbacks this morning and I was all thumbs with one hand so I guess I'll continue with my little gold post. Stupid broken wrist.

I wanted to try lifting on just want one side, but Marty didn't think it was a very good idea to get one side stronger than the other. I'm hoping I'll be able to do something soon. I'm optimistic that I can get my cast off pretty soon. I know I'm going to have to rehab my fingers and the wrist. Marty thinks I need to use my fingers more but they're just so crooked and stiff. I just can't do much with them.#MarcyIsNotEnjoyingCastLife.

Did you like the way the way your hair turned out after your shower today? I hope you don't have to do much to get ready for work. I was always too lazy to get up early and curl my hair but I did use electric rollers. I was never good with a curling iron because i burnt myself all the time. Shocking, I know.

Did you get pictures taken? Were the eggs okay for pancakes? That's wonderful that the lambskin jacket turned out so well and fit so nice it sounds warm.

I kind of slept in today and I haven't been doing much. I got the laundry done, did breakfast dishes and I think I'm going to DoorDash our lunch in a while. I've been watching TV, I could work but I decided not to.

Laters,
Curby

Happy Monday kids!

Curby, both Liam and YF are still alive (and no puking was done -- that I know of!) so I guess the egg must have been OK! I got pics done for seven listings and I'm set now through Friday at one a day, plus the two I put up yesterday. There's an auction this Saturday and I see a bunch of quilts, but not really any glass, so we'll see if I go/stay. My hair was really poofy yesterday. I had to blow dry it and turn the ends under at the nape of my neck or else I have a weird up-flip in just stat spot. This will definitely take some getting used to! This morning I didn't spend much time on it though and it turned out OK.

Yesterday I never left the house! Much laundry was done, some pictures were taken, and my nails were painted. Other than that... meh. And today: Back At The New Job.

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, how was your day at work? Glad to hear your hair turned out okay today. Sweet you got some pictures taken and scheduled. That’s good no one ended up in the ER from rotten eggs. They usually smell so bad you’d know it. Was work more comfortable today? I worked 9 hours. What was I thinking? It was all fun though. Nice to have painted nails, I kind of filed mine a bit yesterday.

We had more snow but just enough to make it nastier. Marty is my chauffeur for my doctor appointment this week. You should see my very dry skin on my fingers by my cast. Yuck.

I found a top I can wear that keeps me warm. Sadly, it’s the only one I have. It was too big but I cut off all the cuffs so it’s above my cast and I put it on over a t-shirt. Guess I can wash it frequently.

Marty’s home early from the gym. Glad I didn‘t have a party going.

Happy Tuesday kids!

Curby, wouldn't Marty be surprised if he showed up and there was a party in full swing at the house?! Can you put any lotion on your poor dry fingers? I have to take some lotion into work today because the soap there would strip the paint right off a car and by mid-afternoon my hands are super uncomfortable thanks to all the washing throughout the day. I'm starting to get a little more acclimated at work, which is good because otherwise my head was going to explode!

Yesterday I sat in some meetings (dammmmmmnnnn these people love their meetings!!!) and then Liam and I decided to have an early dinner. He said let's meet at the BBQ place right by me. There is one literally in the same parking lot as my bank so I walked over here. It was about 20 degrees, and no coat of course since I only go now from the garage to the parking lot and back again. I stood around for a while and even called him but no reply. Then I got a text saying this OTHER BBQ place in the next strip mall over. So I went back to my car and drove over there. It was edible, but barely. I don't plan on going back. Oh well, at least we tried something new!

Today I've got a meeting with my boss at 8:15 just to check in, and then things ramp up from there. I forgot how exhausting it is to start a new job!

Curby, forgot to say I'm pretty sure we got an amazon delivery last night with a mouse in it. I posted about it in hangout. Ramen noodles. Ack!!!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, I’d scream like a little girl if I got a package with a mouse in it. Glad you got it out of the house. We had mice for a while in our first home and then we got them in our 5th wheel. I wasn’t happy. I called them many colorful metaphors.

How was work today? I worked 6 1/2 hours. I started gathering tax documents tonight.

The soap at work sounds like what we had at my former job. It was awful. Lotion should help. I don’t think I should get lotion near my cast with the cotton lining. I am interested in what my x ray shows tomorrow.

The BBQ mixup sounds like something we’d do. Maybe the BBQ place close to your job is better. I had Marty pick us up Culvers for supper after the gym.

Speaking of Marty, He keeps asking me if I have a question when I’ve got my hand raised.

laters,
Curby

Happy Wednesday kids!

Curby, Liam called Amazon and they didn't even bat an eye about giving him a refund. He said he got the impression this isn't the first call they've ever had about this sort of thing! Let me know what they about today after the x-ray. And if amputation is necessary I'll find a very sharp knife! LOL on Marty asking if you have a question.

Yesterday was busy, but fine. I think I'm kind of settling in. The plan (hope!) is to try working from home on Friday. It will be more of an experiment to see if the tech works, etc., but I'm going to give it a go.

I've had one meeting this morning already and there are five more on my calendar today. Holy shitolie...

Alright, off to see if the ladies room door is fixed (some guy was working on it allll afternoon yesterday). Otherwise I have to make yet another trek down the service stairwell to the first floor. Oh well, I guess a little extra exercise never hurt me!

So Curby... you'll love this...

Last night while we were eating dinner Liam casually mentioned that when he took the box of Ramen out of the outer Amazon box the other night there was a lot of what he thought was "settling" going on. I.e., he figured some of the noodles had broken in shipping and were just falling in the packages since the batch of twelve were put on the counter in a different orientation than the original box had been sitting out on the porch. Never even occurred to him there was a problem with all sorts of cracking noise coming from inside the package until he came upstairs and I was removing it from the house using grilling implements. Uhhhhhhh... OK... New rule: If you hear NOISE coming from FOOD let's just decide NOW that it is a problem and must be addressed as such!

Seriously Curby, you just can't make this sh!t up...

Hi Kids.

Dee Jay, nice Amazon readily agreed to issue a refund. Lol on Liam thinking it was noodles settling. Yes, if food makes noise get rid of it NOW!

No need to amputate my wrist. But they cut the cast off today and put me in a removable splint. I’m excited and nervous. It will be four weeks Friday. Aak. I’m to twist and bend my wrist and wiggle and bend my fingers.

Ugh to that many meetings. Glad you are settling in at work. How long is your commute? Good idea to try a WAH day Friday.

Marty took me to the doctor. He went and got coffee after getting me to the door. While waiting for me in the parking lot some jerk slammed their door in to my drivers rearview mirror and knocked it sideways. Grr. Marty said it was okay. They didn’t even seem to know they dI’d up. Poor Curby mobile.

Should I remove my splint and do some bending and moving?

Curby

During the pre-visit Spanish Inquisition at the doctor today - one of the questions they asked me was "have you fallen in the last 90 days?" I laughed and said "well, yeah! That's why I'm here."

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, how was work? Tomorrow you can work at home.

We have an astronomy meeting tonight. Ugh.

Day one in a removable splint. My wrist and all surrounding areas are sore and feel unprotected. Lots of nasty bruises. I enjoyed my shower without the need to use press and seal covered by a plastic trash bag secured with assorted rubber bands. That saved me 20 minutes getting ready today. My skin looks nasty, like it has a thin layer of plastic melted on it. No way was my hand ready to hold a bar of soap to scrub my right arm. I did my minimal motion exercises twice so far - bend and twist my wrist. There isn't much ROM going on there. Then bent my fingers. It was strange sleeping with it because my hand is flatter. Onward through the long process of trying to get back to somewhat normal life. Such fun. I want to wear my jewelry.

Curby #wowthatisanastybruiseonmyarm

Right now I’d take my cast back. Sadly, I have to go to an astronomy meeting tonight and give the program. Phooey.

Happy Thursday kids!

Curby, LOL about have you fallen! How does it feel now? I broke my wrist in fourth grade and when I had the cast off (back in in the day of the big clunky plaster ones) it was weird for a little while. How was the astronomy meeting?

Today was one lonnnnnng ass meeting about a new potential vendor. It went from 9 am to 3 pm and I'm not sure those people stopped to breath once! I tested my technology tonight and I think everything is in order to WFH tomorrow. I also got a mouse jiggler to keep my screen from going to sleep because my logon is FIFTEEN characters with capitals and number and special things -- oh my! If I had to type that in every damn time I'd be pitching the computer off the back deck and into the recycling bin by noon. I hope we don't have some sort of uber IT technology that figures it out, but I doubt it.

I'm in the mood for something salty and crunchy, but I don't think there's anything in the panty that appeals to me right now. Good!

Happy Friday kids!

Today is my first WFH day! I think my technology is all working, which is a miracle since I don't know jack sh!t about any of that.

I've got some glasses washed and ready for photos. Of course we're having a typical midwestern winter day so the light is all weird and terrible. There's an estate sale with a bunch of pink wine glasses in the pics. It ends at 4 today and picks back up tomorrow at 9 so things will be half off then, but it's a lady that will give me tomorrow's good price if I show up after 3:30 so I plan on doing that barring something else coming up.

Today's other mission involves making an appointment to see my accountant next month (I usually go on President's Day) and starting to gather the documents. I'm sure there are some that won't be ready for a little while, but might as well print out the ones I can.

My shop traffic seems to have died this week. I haven't sold a single thing since last weekend (or maybe it was Friday). I don't think I've gone this long without a sale since the store has been open! Oh well, I'm going to chalk it up to people having a shopping hang over from x-mas and hope things get rolling again soon!

Happy Saturday kids!

Yesterday was busy! I was logged on all day for my first WFH adventure (including when I ran to an estate sale for an hour, and of course that was the moment when I was copied on an email string I had to act on, but I did it when I got back at 4:30 so I don't think it was any sort of tragedy) and managed to get pics done for eight listings. I seem to be "missing" a box of stemware I got when I bought a huge lot of Miss America Pink at the last big online auction of the year. I distinctly remember packing them all up... I just can't seem to locate the pieces now... ? I'm pretty sure if I'd left the box there they would have called me because we were all chatting the whole time and it was pretty obvious the glasses were mine, so I have to assume it's here *somewhere.* The dining room is pretty cleaned up though since I'm making a real effort on that front. Maybe the dogs are having a cocktail party in their kennel every night with some fine stemware!

There is an auction at the local place today. There are about half a dozen quilts in the pics I'm going to check out, but it's going to be colllllld today so unless they are fabulous I am definitely coming home!

Liam had me pull up the radar to look at our impending snow (an alleged six + inches) on the way. I was confused (pre-coffee) for a second because the snow shows up as blue on the radar pic, just like Lake Michigan. So there was Lake Michigan to our east... and "Lake Dubuque" to the west! Look at that -- Dee created a whole new Great Lake this morning!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, too funny you WFH and went to an estate sale and had an email show up while you were out. Can you add the email account to your phone? When I WFH, I logged in to my mini while I was getting dressed. Of course, that was in the old days when I could get dressed in 5-10 minutes. Did your mouse jiggler work? Our company required admin rights to install an app like that and it never worked for me because I connected to Windows machines through a Mac.

Ooh pink glasses. I can picture the dogs having an elegant party with pink stemware. I m sure you'll run across them sometime. I bet your site will get busy again soon.

Good luck rounding up your tax documents. I have my tax stuff mostly gathered but need two more documents.

Too funny about inventing a new lake! We have snow coming too.

So I am adjusting to the splint, my wrist doesn't feel quite as vulnerable without it. How long were you in your cast? I can't believe how much dead skin I have, some of it is peeling off. I can put lotion all over it but then it would get all over the splint. Today, I even put a small bar of soap in my left hand and scrubbed - lightly - on my right arm.

After the shower I did my minimal wrist exercises and the first bend I heard a crack, think it was normal crack but still kind of went oh - oh. Bending the wrist up is barely moving it, twisting the wrist is improving already. The twisting hurts the most.

I even put on a real sweater today. I used a bag over the splint to pull the sleeve past the splint. I just kind of tried to see if I could put in studs - that is a BIG NO! Did I tell you I tried my diamond ring? I goes almost to my knuckle. I miss my jewelry.

Not much going on here this weekend. Marty has something blasting on TV. I just finished my astronomy club newsletter for February. Our astronomy meeting went okay except for me climbing in and out of the pickup. Marty just pretty much put me in when we came home. Too funny.

Off to goof off. My wrist is sore.

Curby

Happy Sunday kids!

Curby, I do have my email on my phone but I had to look at something else too to be able to approve the request. No one seems to have cared though -- or at least I haven't been fired... YET! The jiggler isn't a program, it's actually this spinning disc you put your mouse on and it basically puts your curser up at the top corner of your screen and keeps it moving around in a tiny area, but since it's always moving the computer doesn't go to sleep. Super ingenious! My cast was on for four weeks. This was "back in the day" (like 1981 or 2 ish) and I guess they didn't things differently then. Boy was I happy to get that big heavy thing off! Definitely be careful getting in and out of the truck! Early last spring I went to an estate sale with Liam and the running board of the tuck was slick when I tried to slip out. Wham!!! Flat on the ground! I'm just lucky I completely cleared the truck and running board on the way down and didn't hit my head!

Yesterday's auction was cold, but I had my heated socks on so my toes weren't toooooo uncomfortable. I kept the setting on low for a long time because I was afraid of running out of juice, but after several hours I kicked it up to medium, and finally to high at the end. I got pretty much everything I wanted on the glass front, but the quits weren't in as great a condition as I'd hoped and they went really high so I sat that out completely.

We got quite a bit of snow -- more than the six inches they'd been predicting. It's still gloomy here and I'm not even going to try to take pictures in this terrible light because the ones I took last week were a b!tch to adjust to the point they looked even half way decent. There's plenty more to do though, including laundry, finishing going through the stuff the jewelry lady sent me for taxes and starting the cowhide bag lady's process. The excitement never ends here at The North Estate!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, that was always my problem too, many things I couldn't access on the company's domain from my laptop or phone. Phooey, I hope the little mouse jiggler works for you.

Yes, those plaster casts were big and heavy. My mom fell off a high ladder and shattered her leg for 4 inches on her shin. Poor thing was in a cast from her toes to her hips for 6 months then from her toes to past her knee for 7 more months. It required surgery and pins before she got put in the cast.

Sorry you fell getting out of the pickup. Glad you didn't break anything. Our running boards fold in all the time but they can be slick when it's snowy. Then if I get in my car and the seat doesn't reset for my key, I pracitcally fall on the floor getting in where Marty has the seat.

Glad your battery socks kept you warm yesterday. Sweet you got all the glassware you wanted. I bet finding quilts in good shape (and bed bug free) is challenging.

Your day sounds like mine. Marty isn't going to the gym for some reason so is watching some stupid program on TV. I am doing laundry, considering trying to put a ring on and trying to keep warm. I think we've had five inches of snow so far.

Take care.
Curby

You know for many reasons, I wish I'd left my rings too big. They'd be easier to put on and pull off AND I wouldn't have gone to Denver that day!

Happy Monday kids!

Curby, wow that is a BAD injury for your mom! I was thinking of the bedbugs at the auction... but I figured those quilts had been sitting in zero-ish degree weather for over two weeks and I think that would kill them. At least I hope so! But since they went home with someone else it wasn't an issue. The whole concept does creep me out quite a bit though!!! Our snow finally stopped and Liam went out and cleared the driveway. I thought we were getting more late in the day, but then I realized it was just the existing snow blowing around. Enough of the white stuff, thank you very much!

Since the light was so bad yesterday I made the executive decision to read a book until almost noon. I couldn't tell you the last time I did that! Then I made a huge batch of chili, mostly so I can bring some for lunch at work because I don't really have a lot of good options that are easily portable right now. Most of our little individual sized containers seem to be mostly MIA. I took everything out of the lazy Susan corner cabinet and they aren't where they are supposed to be. No idea where they've all gone...

Today I've got overlapping meetings starting at ten and going into infinity. Meetings, meetings, meetings! I'm also going to try to run to UPS mid-day and see how that goes. If Liam can make the post office runs and I can make the UPS runs we should be able to easily divide and conquer that part of the process. Happy to report I had four sales over the weekend, so that was nice.

Alright, off to get situated for the great meeting marathon. Ugh.

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, yes, my mom really smashed up her leg. I think it was almost 20 feet she fell. I'd worry about bed bugs too. My BIL had them and it took years to get rid of them. At our astronomy meeting the other night, I thought of that when I threw my rain coat in a padded chair. I think I can finally wear my down coat but I'm not sure. It's not like I'm going anywhere in that icy tundra out my door.

Glad your snow quit. We had about 6 inches through today.

Chili sounds good on these cold days. Darn you can't find the containers for your lunch.

Sweet you had some sales this weekend and good idea for you and Liam to split up delivering packages to be shipped. Ugh to meetings all day. Are you liking the new job so far?

I worked over 8 hours today, but most of it was fun stuff.

I continue to do my mini exercises that take me maybe 5 minutes and do them 4 times a day. Bending my wrist up is currently not a perceptible movement. Twisting my wrist is most painful of all but shows improvement. Bending the wrist down is okay but not a great deal. Then flexing and bending my fingers isn’t bad because I was doing that all along.

The grossest thing is all the dead skin from the cast. I swear, it’s nasty and not coming off too quickly. I hate to lather up in lotion because then the splint will get all nasty. If this freaking ice world would melt, I might go buy another splint to sleep in that I could get lotion all over.

I tried to put on posts - no way in heck is that achievable yet. I keep thinking of trying to get a ring on - and more importantly off - my right hand but worry it would pull on my wrist too much. See, if I hadn’t got all my rings sized they’d nr loose and I wouldn’t have broke my wrist.

Laters,
Curby

I forgot, the unflappable Marty seemed a bit flabbergasted when I told him I cut the cuffs off an old Carharrt shirt. He replied "would you quit cutting up all your clothes?" He must have imagined me replacing my entire closet again. I've only modified four things, they are warm tops and a nightgown that I probably wouldn't probably wear again anyway.

Happy Tuesday kids!

Curby, tell Marty you gotta do what you gotta do! As him whether he'd prefer to run around nekked?! I can't believe your mom fell 20 feet and all she did was broke her leg. She was lucky to life through it! The CB used to trot out some statistic about the chances of death if you fell off a six foot ladder every time I would get out the twelve foot ladder to clean the book shelves. Ack. The new job is improving! I'm invited to some sort of leadership dinner tomorrow night (before a big two day offsite) with the high-ups at the company, including the president of the bank and the president of the holding company of the bank... both of which have the same first name as my old boss. Ha! Keep doing your exercises! And I hear ya about the dry skin. I remember when I got my cast off and I was like... oh... I've apparently turned into a lizard!!!

Yesterday I dug deep and started a big list of all the things I need someone to explain to me about this job I'm supposed to do. That's going to be one looonnnnnng conversation LOL.

I sold six glasses to someone in New Zealand overnight. They are really tall champagne flutes with long delicate stems. I'm going to have to wrap them within an inch of their lives and hope for the best.

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, I doubt anyone wants to see me running around without any clothes on. Ewe!!!

Yes, my parents cabin was quite tall. It was in the mountains and had a stick-type foundation underneath it to level it out - maybe 4-6 feet? Then a main floor with a high ceiling and a loft. She was washing windows. Not sure it was exactly 20 feet but definitely over 15 feet. My dad splinted it and put in flat in the back of the pickup with pillows and blankets. They stopped 1/2 way home to see if she wanted to go to the emergency room in Laramie. She said no, lets get home. So an hour later they pull up to the ER here and the people couldn't figure out how to get her out of the pickup. She did it herself. She was in the hospital for some time.

Yes, you had quite the high book cases at your last place.

Have fun at the power dinner! Remember if you get drunk, you aren't as funny then as you think you are. But then again, who cares as long as you amuse yourself. Glad you are feeling more comfortable about the position and I'm sure you'll get your many questions answered on what to do. That is strange about the same name deal.

I am doing my little exercises and yes, I'd say our skin looks lizard like once coming out of a cast. A spot on my thumb is quite sore, I sure hope it's not cracked. We will see. It bugs me more than my wrist.

I hope the glasses make it to New Zealand okay. Bubble wrap central!!!!

I only worked six hours today. I even put on a real pullover sweater. I have my rings on my desk and have toyed with putting one on my right hand. I keep chickening out though. I can get the ring on for sure, pulling it off may be another story. My left hand won't even take my Tiffany band yet. I was going to try lever back earrings but dropped my earring case so got to sort them all out and them back in their little square.

Laters,
Curby

Happy Wednesday kids!

Curby, wow that's quite a story about your mother's broken leg -- especially the part where she had to get herself out of the back of the truck! How's your thumb? I packed those six glasses in the giant box and included enough bubble wrap and peanuts that if the package was just shoved out of the airplane above the guy's house in New Zeland the glasses would still be just fine! Be careful with those rings Curby -- you know you're going to lose hold of one trying to tug it off and have it fly across the room or something!

Yesterday was pretty good! In between all the meetings I managed to run to the local auction place and pick up the stuff I'd gotten last Sunday and it only took about 40 minutes round trip so that was good. Today at some point in the afternoon I need to go to the post office with the international package and hopefully that will be quick too.

Tonight I will have no more than two glasses of wine, which isn't enough to get me going down too far the stupid path (just to be clear, I can do that totally sober! ) Hopefully it won't be too painful and event... And then tomorrow and Friday we've got a big off-site meeting, which is at an event space literally between Liam's house and the bank (I drive past it every day to get here) so the only want to have a meeting closer to the house would be to hold it in our own living room!

Alright, off to get some more coffee and gear up for a 9 am call with the corporate treasury guy. I've been on a couple of meetings with him so far and he's a little... shall we say... abrasive. My boss told me yesterday he's rubbing some people the wrong way so I don't know what that means, but I get the impression he might not be here too long.

Off I go!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, yes, my mom had quite the ordeal when she shattered her leg. My sister was getting married that summer too and my mom was making our bridesmaids dresses. Luckily, all of us can sew.

Sounds like those glasses should arrive in NZ in one piece. I wonder how long it will take to get there?

I definitely don't want to have a ring shoot across the room. My luck it's go down a floor vent or something. I'll start out with a ring and earrings that I never wear. I did put them all away last night to avoid further temptation.

Too funny that you don't need wine to go down the stupid path, I resemble that remark as well. Sounds like work is going well and there's always at least one abrasive person at work. If that guy is gone, someone else will take their place. Nice that the off-site meeting is so close and you had time to run errands as well. Life is good.

I slept in today. My bruises and muscles are talking to me so I didn't sleep well. When I finally fell asleep, I slept in until 7 a.m. A friend came over for cards and lunch today. That was fun. She brought me a homemade cinnamon roll so I will have that with a bowl of soup for supper. The scale continues to go down so I'm not eating all of it.

I didn't cut up any of my clothes today. Yay!

It is above freezing here finally but the wind is blowing around snow so bad, the highways are closed and drifts are moving from point to point B.

Hi Kids!

Not much new with me. I am starting to put my hand and wrist in a heating pad before I do my mini exercises. It kind of helps. I think I bent my wrist up about 1.5 degrees today. Ha Ha.

I worked most of the day. I’ve been wearing some 8mm gold ball studs earrings everyday (without the backs of course) so my earring holes don’t close up. They must stay in okay because I apparently slept with them in, showered with them and they didn’t come out. I won’t try that with any diamond studs.

No new clothes were destroyed today. Even making my PBJ for lunch went better. Now, I'm off to see if I can brown two pounds of hamburger. Wish me luck!

Laters.
Curby

Happy Friday kids!

Curby, I how's the wrist doing? You're wearing earrings without backs... and they stay in? Mine would never do that! I got your text this morning. WTF. I'm so mad/sad. Hopefully that won't last long and she'll be called back. Would you please send me her cell #? I think I have it, but of course I can't put my finger on it right now.

So I've spent the last two days trapped at a conference venue for the management offsite. It was fine, but really pretty standard. We had two motivational speakers and the one today was really funny, so at least I was amused for about an hour. He went right after breakfast though and had fifteen points he wanted to make. Well BREAKFAST included COFFEE and let's just say if he'd had a SIXTEENTH point to make someone would have had to mop up under my chair! We got done around noon and I went to lunch with a lady from the office and then came hope and took a big long nap!

Dinner the other night was fine... but I got stuck with both of the two high up guys, one immediately to my left and the other directly across from me. I was like, REALLY?! It was fine though and they were very nice, plus a bit of fun, so I lucked out. I only had one glass of wine though!

No ferals this weekend! Liam and I are going to some sort of Japanese steakhouse place for dinner. We also need to get the stuff ordered for the other side of the closet. I have to queue up some listings for tomorrow morning, and my old assistant is going to be here so she and I are meeting up for a little day drinking tomorrow afternoon. I can wait to see her!

No idea what else the weekend will bring... but considering it cold enough to freeze your nose hair the instant you open the front door whatever other things go on they are going to happen INSIDE! :cheeky:
