Hello everyone!
I am a long time lurker and throuroughly enjoy reading through pricescope posts. I recently purchased a heart shaped stone at a really fantastic price. Normally I don’t love hearts, they’re not really my thing but I got such a great deal that I couldn’t pass it up. I’ve done some google image searches trying to find a design that might downplay the heart shape a little bit can’t come up with much.
You all are always so fantastic at helping with these sorts of things, so suggestions are very welcome! The stone is a little over two carats. Preferably a ring or a pendent.

th

I like this.

If you go for a ring, perhaps set it as a center stone with a bubble and breathe band? The presence of other shapes could make the heart less prominent.

That’s a great idea! Off to search through google images.

Thank you! There were a few hidden gems in there. The pendant you posted is what I’m looking for. Not too cutesy like hearts tend to be.

i haven't seen many hearts in real life...here's one set east-west to de-emphasize the shape

not sure if you are open to a two stone design, but you could stack a small pear upside down on top like a simpler version of this

or depending on the setting you can maybe hide the cleft to make it look more like a fat pear

so interested to see what you do!

The E-W set ring reminds me that a heart shape is also the shape of a leaf. This could get more obvious in a still simple version of the design.

These two rings are favorites of mine. I like how the first one has enough layers of metal & gems that it has a faint heart shape but not in your face heart. If you used diamonds or white sapphires or anything not as bold as red rubies the heart shape could be downplayed even more.

This second one uses a pear as the center stone but I think again if it is surrounded by enough metal or other gems then the heart shape can be disguised.

I had the mods move this to fashion jewelry so I could show you all the finished product. Thank you all so much for your inspiration! I asked David Klass to make it not overly girly... hard to do with a heart shaped stone. His work as usual is flawless! 4C1A72EE-AB66-42B9-8248-178853C8C1A5.jpeg98A2171E-5132-4CCF-B248-BC1B383DD53F.jpeg

I really love this! I’m not a huge fan of heart shaped but this is beautiful. I love the split shank design...it makes it look really wearable.
I can’t wait to see your hand shots.

its beautiful! Feminine, as hearts tend to be, but grown up at the same time.
