Wow, what a beauty! What would I give for a tiny 4 3/4 size finger!

HAH! I used to have a smaller ring size four years ago, but add 20 pounds and age a few years....UGH! I just love food way too much!!!

Thank you Diamondseeker...I'm so happy with my ring!

Wow, what a beautiful and classic ring! Congratulations!

What a beauty!  It looks just enormous compared to your finger!

Hi Malbec54! I've followed with interest regarding your initial JA Danhov ring and now your new BG Novela ring and I wanted to know if you see a big difference in terms of sparkle and performance between the two? Both rings are gorgeous! I can definitely see the arrows in the BG diamond.

Thanks!

Re: Hello, Brian Gavin Signature H&A Diamond & Novela Settin

Glad you're so happy, looks like you have a real classic you will enjoy for years. Yay you! And DH to be, too.

Wow! What a beautiful BGD diamond.

May I ask how you take your pics to display the arrows so well?? Your diamond looks amazing, and that was the exact same one I was deciding on when I was looking.

Happy Valentines Day toleong!

Thank you very much for the compliment! I hate to admit that my fiance and I made the initial diamond purchase WITHOUT the expert advice from Pricescope! :nono: lol
Although, the diamond we selected from JA was beautiful and had a lot of fire, I wasn't 110% comfortable with the fluorescence and I believed that the diamond "appeared" dull in certain lighting ---my fiance actually agreed and he was the one who selected the diamond.
The Danhov setting was gorgeous and (JA did a super job in special ordering it for us) it was very well-made, but also very pricey. On Danhov's website, it states that it can be set with .75 - 1.50 carats. Since my center stone was a bit over 2 carats, I believe that it over-powered the setting and made it look cheap instead of elegant.
Since we probably won't be upgrading my diamond in this lifetime, he really wanted me to be just as in love with my ring, as I am with him, ;) so after a ton of research, we jumped on the BGD website and made the purchase. Truly, there are no words for the BGD stone other than "INCREDIBLE." The pictures don't show it, but it is super bright, super white, and super sparkly. For us, it was worth every penny and more. Sorry for this lengthy post --- I know you only asked a simple question (lol), but I thought I would give you the lengthy version of the story. :cheeky: I definitely notice a difference in performance between the two diamonds.

Thank you vr4_rider ---your ring is going to be friggin' AMAZING and HUGE and BEAUTIFUL --can't wait to see it finished! :appl:

Because I'm constantly taking pictures with my iphone, my sister gave me an attachable lens by olloclip for Christmas. It gives you a Fisheye/wide-angle, and macro lens (all in one attachment) and it works great! I'm not a photographer and I can't stand reading those pesky manuals for my other camera, so this is perfect for me! Here's the link just in case you have an iphone...we need to make sure you're ready for all those fabulous photos you're going to take in the near future!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day to you, too:)

I will try to post pics when I get it back...I don't have one of those fancy smartphones (which from what I have seen can take amazing pics) or the SLR type camera (I have a crappy point and shoot. I really should buy a nice camera, like a Canon Rebel).

By the way, cute dogs! I have two Cavachons myself:) Aren't they a joy?

Thank you so much for your detailed reply. That was exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. I am in a similar boat as you having bought a 2.07 H Vs2 JA diamond first. My diamond scored below a 1 on the HCA cut advisor and is a AGS0. The only thing that kind of bothers me about the diamond is the slight yellow tint I can see in some environments. The jump from H to G is quite high $$$. I just needed to decide if it's worth spending the extra 20% premium for a super ideal diamond. Now if only money grew on trees, I'd be all set.

You have awesome picture taking skills and I almost bought that same Danhov setting. Right now it's just set in their cheapest 4 prong setting. I'm happy you explained what you didn't like about the Danhov setting.
