You are such a nice guy to care so much about getting your fiance the perfect stone and to take in all the advice without taking offense to it. Your fi is a lucky lady. I would love to have an AVC someday, She is going to love it. I would have spent less on the wedding to get a nicer diamond anyday

hi everyone, here's pics of the ring, which came back today! despite my very poor camera skills, i hope all would agree it's CLEAR i got a much better diamond. the pictures don't do justice as to how sparkly the diamond is -- it's gorgeous. i was looking at it in low light when i first got home, and it's amazing how much fire it has in that setting. i know some of you won't like the setting -- my fiancee to be (hopefully!) really wants a simple, thin eternity band.

just look at these pics compared to the ones of the other 2 i was thinking about.... it's not even close. just for the record, it's a 1.587 GOG AVC H VS2.

I love it! And what I am really glad to see is that you were able to look at them all in person and choose the one you liked best. It is the hard part of buying online when you cannot easily see diamonds to compare. Looking at photos it could be easy to say "Well it is not worth 40% more!" but you were able to see them in person and then know for sure what diamond was worth what to you! I can see the better cut in the photos, but more than anything, I am just glad YOU got what you wanted in the end!! Come back and let us know what you gf thinks!!

BEAUTIFUL!!! I think it's so awesome that you went through the process of comparing these three diamonds in person before picking one for your GF - and thanks for sharing your story.

That AVC is fabulous (though Ias a fellow AVC owner I am biased). Keep us posted on the big day - and come back with lots more pix!
