Sorry for so many. I just started looking this morning again and thought about going down to an si1 if I could find one that was eye clean. I have also been looking in the G and H range for color. Can I get away with I or even J if the diamond is eye clean? I'm trying to stay around $3000-$3500 for the diamond alone. If I happen to stumble on one cheaper then that's even better. As long as the diamond is in that .75 or greater range, I will consider it. The setting I am looking at is around $800 but I know there is another that she would love (simpler) that is half that in price.

Thank you again. Honestly searching for a cushion is already frustrating me. It's the cut I want but it seems way harder to find the right once compared to a RB.

So in other words because a cushion is very deep, that is a big issue? For instance one that you posted yesterday I really like:

Exactly. That E is a bright stone. But it is small for its weight because of the depth (same with the H I commented on earlier) That's why I told you earlier to pay attention to the dimensions of the stones, not the carat weight!

I think the E is potentially lovely stone though. And the price reflects the depth, that's why it is discounted and in your price range. So there is nothing WRONG with it. You just have to be aware of the issue. I just want you to be informed, I'm not saying that the stone isn't a nice one.

Study up and we'll talk some more later.

I know cushions can be frustrating. I totally understand that.

What happened to that really pretty I clarity stone from yesterday? I really liked that one.

Yes I love the diamond! Not sure on the setting as I still favor the james allen ones. I tried to find a diamond close to that blue nile one on james allen's site but no luck unless I am missing one.

Go for the Blue Nile stone. As for settings. You can either not get a setting and propose with an unset stone and she can pick her own. Or I would go with one of the Blue Nile settings.

I definitely will when it arrives. I started realizing I was over thinking the purchase and should just go for it (like you suggested, lol). I did ask the blue nile rep if it was eye clean and he echoed what you said about their signature line so I was happy to hear that.
