Bigger than you want, but I would not let a setting determine the diamond (too limiting). GIA graded J VS2. Call them and negotiate on the price, its been for sale for a long time. Resell the mount. Brings you in on budget. Snap it up.

I took the setting to my local jeweler to have the prongs re-done because they were discolored. My jeweler told me the setting was essentially ruined because a non-matching solder was used in a previous repair. He said there was no other way to fix it except to cut off the basket and order a new one. He said it would be much cheaper to find a new setting. I emailed the seller and she offered to refund me $300 and later $500. If you love the stone then you might be able to talk her down more since the stone has been in their inventory for a while. It's a lovely diamond and I hope you love it!

A round of 7.5 mm diameter is 44.18 mm^2
This baby is 7.26x7.05. It's not a perfect rectangle, and I am too lazy to figure out how much is missing, but chopping off 14% for corners would put you equivalent to the 7.5 round, and I guess it has less than 20% corners... Anyway, it's in the ballpark.
