Help! Looking to get diamond studs made for my wife and am looking for two diamonds that are ~1.75 carats each with the best cut (would like to have the diamonds loose so my wife can review before I have them made into studs at our local jeweler). Looking for the best available options out there as I am a bit overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of lab made diamonds. Price is not a huge concern as I originally started the hunt with natural diamonds and was blown away with the quality of lab diamonds and the potential price savings. I do not need ultra premium / branded stones but am looking for super high quality stones in the wild. I know enough to be dangerous about diamonds but my default has always been to toss a mad quantity of stones into the Halloway grading machine and see what comes out best. Additionally, seeing that many stones are featured on multiple sites, is one site preferred over the others? It appears as though loosegrowndiamond may have the best prices - are they viewed in high regard or is it best to purchase through other places? Thank you so much for your help - I am really excited to see the recommendations that the experts / board has!!

Hello and welcome to PriceScope, dsmacdon!
Found these - both are GIA graded and around $850 each at the lowest listed seller that I could find (LooseGrownDiamond).
If you would like a professional vetting touch, then contact Jon (Rhino) at Distinctive Gem...he can access pretty much any of the diamonds out in the wild and likely even price match, but he'll take it a step further and give them an assessment for further peace of mind.

Found a other pair that would make a great match:

Thank you so much for the search! I will dig in and look at them right away

I wouldn’t get too in the weeds for your choice. There are so many options, once you have a recommendation from Deja or someone else who likes hunting out pairs for people, and they tic the boxes, just go for it. The cost is so small, the options so prolific, and earrings are less scrutinized than ring stones… I dunno, point is just go for what catches your eye and checks out by the numbers and images.

Looking for natural diamonds we have to consider so many factors, like clarity and then budget would always be a limit, and so many stones were cut to conserve rough. But with lab diamonds you don’t need to spend that much time analyzing parameters. Colour doesn’t matter anymore. Budget doesn’t matter anymore. So really it’s just material quality and cut. But even that’s gotten so much better because the cost of wasting rough to make a really well cut stone is so much lower. So you know, don’t sweat it. You came to the right place for suggestions! It’s OK to just take them and have a quick easy process!

BTW HCA is a rejection tool so looking for the “best“ score is really just a game you’re playing with yourself and not actually a helpful selection process!
