Help, I have buyers remorse. Are the proportions okay? I might have rushed into this purchase.

Congrats ! Now get it into a setting and give it a cleaning ~ diamond's are grease/oil magnets so any lotion / soap oils on your hands go into the stone and then dust sticks to stone. etc..... will make it dirty fast...

classic proportions so not surprising it looks good all light... love that 55% table

I received the 2.06 I VVS1 diamond in discussion and have to say I'm very pleased with it. As far as I can tell it's very striking in all the different light settings. Especially outside, wow! I bought a 10x loupe with a light on it and can see everything in great detail. My phone camera is pretty useful too. I did notice what looks like tiny pin holes (?)on the outer surface, maybe it's dust? Is that something that is normal when looking at it magnified and using different light angles? It is GIA certified and I was even able to verify the numbers on the girdle.

I want to thank everyone here on the forum that helped me during this process! This community is quite amazing and I am truly grateful!

Also, it is near impossible to get the same camera shots that I've be so accustomed to seeing in my searches, haha.

It looks very nice - so glad you are pleased with it!

It looks beautiful! And yes, that is dust.

They are Blue Nile’s top tier diamonds. Some are probably ok, but I would consider them on a case by case basis. If I wanted a true super ideal cut diamond, I would go with one of those vendors. The vetting has all been done, they are in-house and can answer any questions you may have about them.
This comment (my bold) made me think of a survey we did several years ago of various diamond brands. Many things have changed in the industry since this was published, and we have not reviewed these brands recently so some observations may be off the mark today.

Thanks for posting the article. Here at PS, we get asked so often for some type of quantitative difference between a super ideal cut diamond vs. other vendors in terms of performance. While that is impossible to state in a broad sense of all diamonds, this is helpful in showing some differences that do make a big impact on both value and performance!
