Hi all! I'm definitely new to this site but have been stalking it recently for help. Ultimately, I figured it made the most sense to just post my question and see what you pros have to say!

I lost my e-ring and wedding band. :(sad I'm trying to move beyond it and on to replacing them. So here goes.

This is the setting I have chosen for my 'replacement' e-ring. I intend on getting a 1-1.2 carat round cut for the center stone. http://www.bluenile.com/monique-lhuillier-cathedral-solitaire-ring-platinum_41263

The real reason I'm posting is to have some help choosing a band to go with it.

I'm between these three:

1 ctw 7 stone u-prong: http://www.bluenile.com/seven-stone-diamond-ring-platinum_37882

1 ctw 7 stone floating: http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-ring-platinum_9717

3/4 ctw 7 stone u-prong: http://www.bluenile.com/classic-diamond-platinum-ring_7311

I'm also open to other suggestions. I love the look of the floating setting because of how you can see the shape of the stones. However, I am unsure if it would work with the solitaire's setting. If anyone has any pictures to share with specs for comparison, that would be incredibly helpful!

Thanks so much

Hi EmilyPT :wavey:

Your setting will allow you to wear pretty much any band, as long as it doesn't sit too high (if you want it to be flush, if not, then it doesn't matter). ;))

I don't care for the floating band. The other two are the same, only different sized diamonds. Do you have to use BN, or are you open to other vendors? Are you trying to stay with a straight band of diamonds, or would you consider something a little different. If it were me, I would choose something with an interesting shape in contrast to the straight line of your solitaire band.

You could customize something like this and use all diamonds and/or half eternity...

Thank you for your response! I'm not stuck on BN, that was really just my jumping off point. I don't feel the need for them to be flush. I'm curious about what size stones on the band will best compliment the size of the solitaire. Thank you for your suggestions!

The smaller the diamonds and thinner the band, the larger your solitaire will appear. I like the interesting shapes better than a straight line of diamonds because I feel like the solitaire can get lost in the mix. Personally, I like the ering to stand out more so than the wband. :))
