Hi PSers. Since I really love all metal colors I am having a hard time choosing. It's holding up placing my order. This is for a simple bezel pendant and chain. Also deciding if smooth or miligrain. Here are some metal colors against my skin tone.

I currently wear two necklaces 14k yellow gold. One yellow gold arrow 15.5 inch and one Helen Ficalora with charms 20inch. These stay on for months at a time and come off for cleanings only. I am not sure with the new bezel if I will continue to wear these necklaces or take a break. The charms are both yellow and rose and the chain is yellow so I could always switch out the chain for rose and wear the same charms. This necklace is sentimental. I guess I could do that with a WG chain as well with multicolor charms on it?

My rings are multicolor. Lol. I wear WG ER, two rose gold bands with it (14k and 18k) On other hand I wear Trinity on ring finger and 2mm 18k YG band on middle most of the time. On that wrist I wear a 18k YG bracelet with a bezeled peridot. This comes on and off.

See why I'm confused. Thoughts? The diamond is small and this will be a delicate necklace.

I love the rose gold against your skin. It just glows and looks so pretty!

me too

Thanks ladies. I think that's what I am leaning towards. Just don't want to regret my choice later.

I know there is a lot of diamond talk this am but anyone else care to give an opinion?

I think RG is gorgeous -esp. 18k, but I am really warming up to YG lately.

Hi Hatha dear!

I am also a 'mixer' with metals, I own pieces in all three colours and love them, plus I wear different colour metals together. I must admit, I have loved rose gold since my teens, it was quite unusual back then ( a long time ago!) and I am pleased to see it becoming fashionable, so that's what I would choose too. I am hoping to get a new pendant sometime, if I go for a warm toned diamond then I am definitely getting rose gold.

HTH!

I like the RG on you.

Did I miss what color grade the diamond is? My choice would partly depend on that

I was told it was H but let's say I J to be on the safe side? It's by "no name" certifying company ;))

I do think the rose gold looks good on your skin but I'm somehow not a huge rose gold fan. Therefore, I'm voting YG!!

I think it depends in part on what you want from the pendant. If you want the metal to sort of "fade" away so that all you see is a floating diamond then I would go for the rose gold. If you want to be safe with your choice of metal for the rest of your life I would probably choose a white metal, probably 18K or platinum; metal trends come and go but white metal has staying power. If you want the metal to part of the overall "bling" factor I would choose yellow gold.

I chose rose gold, which looks nice with my skin tone yet blends and makes the diamond look like it is floating (from a distance, anyway).

This is beautiful! Who made it and is it 14k or 18k rose? These are exactly my reasons for confusion and delay.

The reason I asked about the diamond color is I have a J that I set in 18kt rose gold- it warms the diamond and I see a lot of tint now, whereas it looked quite white before. So, if you want the diamond to look white, I'd set it in white gold, or even platinum. If tint doesn't bother you, I like the rose gold.
