Help me evaluate a darker Blue spinel

I got a blue spinel some time back and never set it as the dark color makes me deprioritise setting it vs other brighter stones that catches my eye more easily. I totally understand the need to get one though since I’ve been through that.

8.6 ct green beryl, 4 ct spinel and 3 ct unheated Sri Lanka sapphire

That's a really nice one Icy! I like the sapphire blue more but that's the nicest blue spinel I've seen!

Thank you! It’s just not as blue as sapphires… so of the 3 stones in the pic, it’s the only one that hasn’t been set.
