Help me find the perfect stone

1) The only stone of the three that I'd personally consider buying. I didn't see the GIA report at first but went back to see it. This stone's numbers fall within the range of ideal cut.

2) It is a little deep which is making it face up smaller than it should. Usually a .80 ideal cut stone will face up at about 6.0mm. The crown angle is high. A 35 to 35.5 crown angle would be safer with a 40.6 pavilion angle. The center could have some leakage. It is not as ideal as someone is telling you.

This one is not too deep at 62% so it faces up with a good diameter. But it has a problem with the pavilion angle being 41.4 which doesn't work with a 34.5 crown angle. This one is definitely out.

Here are the ranges to aim for in GIA Excellent cut:

table: 55-58

depth: 62-62.3%

crown angle: 34-35.0 (up to 35.5 may work with a 40.6 pavilion angle)

Pavilion angle: 40.6-40.9

I have received some new diamond options today from a jeweller we are meeting with tomorrow night and would love your input. I’m almost certain two of the three are out but have attached anyway. Still waiting to hear back from JannPaul so will see what they can offer for preferable setting. The petite setting is gorgeous! We are definitely after the less is more look ourselves. I’ve just received some new diamond details from the jeweller we are meeting tomorrow night so will post in here shortly.

I’m so sorry I missed your last comment! I still haven’t heard from him, however we have been considering how feasible it would be to have an imported ring from a servicing and guarantee point of view. Was he able to provide any information around this?

Hey İ didnt get into the details too much in that aspect however after the inital sizing/fit and finish provided it all goes well the ring would need minimal maintence probably just a check every year or so however i dont remember my mother ever doing any of that.

İ will make an effort to do though to get it checked up.
From a reputable jeweller other than that i dont expect to be much in contact with JannPaul unless i need another stone.

İ will still conversate when im choosing about their after sales service and what would happen if a stone falls out etc.

With regard to sizing that im.sure they will resize free of charge for the inital size if any issue should arise.

İ.honestly was skeptical and gave it alot of thought and research for couple months before i took the plunge.

My story is a little harder as my partner is in North Cyprus so İ purchased a ring sizer which i will send to her and then relay to JannPaul which will then make up a wax ring for me to send to her to confirm.

İt sounds a little complicated but i think it should be alright.

Hopefully flights open up and i can travel to her end of june

They actually got back to me this afternoon. The GST and tax just totally blows the budget without even having the ring set. We are meeting the last jeweller tomorrow night so we hope to have made a decision by the end of the week as to who makes our ring. I will post more stones as they come through. Did you end up finding something good?

Stuck between two jewellers. We are still waiting for some more stone options from one. I have requested they are super ideal cut as none that they initially offer had these proportions.

This is the other stone option which is super ideal, only I can’t get my hand on any online images or videos. The stone is also an SI1. Any idea where I might be able to get hold of them?
