Thanks! I think it goes better too. Plus the other one is white gold. Do you think I should keep the ering and get $ from the diamonds/metal of the band?

I have an 18kt white gold wedding ring. This is my 2nd ring, the first being 18kt yellow gold in a more contemporary setting. When we upgraded my diamond, i checked around with local jewelers regarding the platinum vs 18kt white gold. 4 out of 5 jewelers and one in the LA jewelry district all told me 18kt white gold was better. It was stonger, didnt scratch as easily, was whiter in color and give me the same look as platinum along with saving me about $1000. I was having my ring custom made and I loved the idea of saving money but i felt i was going to have this ring a very long time and wanted to be in love with it everyday. I decided on the 18kt white gold and 6 yrs later i still love it. The money we saved on the setting by going white gold, well lets just say i put it to good use by adding that amount to my diamond budget. Its a win win for me!
