I like the Brian Gavin stone, if it is eye clean, the Whiteflash, I think those inclusion are visible, the 2 JA stones are SI2 but from the pictures look rather good.

I would find out which are eye clean to your comfort level, eliminate the ones that don't pass.

Okay, here is my reasoning. I'd rather have SI1 clarity, so I'd eliminate the two from James Allen. Plus they don't have as good an upgrade policy as the other two vendors. The BG stone is one of their signature stones, so that is why it costs more than the one from WF. However, the WF stone is $5988 with pricescope/wire pmt discounts, and I think the BG stone will run higher even with their wire discount, so I feel like the WF stone is a better buy and will look just as good as the BG stone. If you want the mental thing of having the signature cut, then you could pay more for the BG stone. My daughter's diamond is premium select from WF, and ironically H SI1, and truly you cannot see any difference between it and my ACA diamond studs.

You definitely need to ask if the SI1 stones are eyeclean from any distance. That would rule a stone out for me immediately.

My favorite is the BGD stone. However, I agree with DS that the WF stone is a better buy. I doubt if you can tell the difference between excellent and ideal polish. The Stone has gotten a 0 in light performance, so it must be beautiful.

thanks c-k! :)

What is that black thing on the table of BG? sorry, I'm new at this...

I already sent a request for an expert to see the JA.

thanks for your opinion and for answering another question at the back of my mind which is "Is there a lot of difference with regards to look between ACA, ES and Premium at WF :)
plus the HCA on WF stone is 1.5 though it didn't pass ACA category. Should I really depend on the HCA score in terms of brilliance?

Thanks Sakucherry! :) Just need to request for more photos of the stone so I can really see the inclusion if it ok for me.

Looks like an inclusion (crystal), need to make sure it is eye clean to your comfort level...for me as I can focus as close as 2-3" and don't want to see any inclusion looking at the diamond face up.

You don't use the HCA at all on AGS graded stones, because they are graded for light performance. The HCA is to use to narrow down the very broad GIA Excellent category to try to get one of the better (ideal) cut stones in that group.

I agree with DiamondSeeker's advice. The only thing that I don't like about the WF stone is that it is not eyeclean. My first diamond was an SI but it was on the edge and not on the table. Also, I prefer inclusions to be on the edges. This WF stone does not have the "eyeclean" icon but you can't tell that on the mobile link that you provided. You have to go to the full site. On the SI1 and SI2 stones you would want it to be eyeclean and WF will post this on the website with an icon that states "eyeclean" that has been verified by the WF staff. HTH

Also, they may be short of stones at this particular time because of Valentine's Day. You could ask WF if they have any other stones with the parameters that you are looking for.

You're right , it's not eye clean from WF person that I talked to. However , the JA stone the F color is eye clean.

It is right to find a lot of selection at WF right now, but they expect to get more inventories in a couple of weeks.

Got it! Buy how would I be able to compare diamonds based on their performance?
