The 6 prongs might go some way to making up for the lost diamond spread, and it's elegant and substantial without being heavy, and the tapered band will make the most of the stone's size. And I like that head a LOT. It's a prettier head than the one you're considering, and I think the slightly narrower band will make more of your diamond.

ETA And just to add - .3mm will be a noticeable difference. With band widths, a .9ct diamond vs a 1ct diamond will make a noticeable proportional difference against the band. So I'd take the one I linked to.

I prefer The 1.06 from bn too, for what it’s worth.

I don’t love this setting because the head seems a bit “youthful” and I don’t think a band will sit flush.

I had a girlfriend who bought a curved band because of a less than 1mm gap between her rings. Some women hate gaps....

It does help that it has a pinched shank and it is a nice choice. Niel is right about the bands though with the shape and 6 prongs. It does feel youthful/trendy? This is ok though if you like it. I am an integrated cathedral gal with a slight pinch/taper and narrow base for bands. Boring or classic I guess depending on your personal outlook. LOL.

I very obviously feel silenced here on opinions, so I will only state that I like the crown head.

Not at all silly person. :kiss2: We all have different things we like and that is a good thing. More observations help, I think, so people can decide which style they like and why.
 
I like the JA diamond that rocky picked out with the 6 prong (I agree the 6 prong will look nicer with the .90) crown head.

I think it is a good fitting together of all the puzzle pieces.

I took a look at the 1.06 J on BN, I also like that option if she is okay with a J and that gets you over the carat mark.

See if you think the 1.06 has an underlying brown tint (which may be perfectly fine to OP)... just pointing out what I noticed on my screen...
 
I think the 1.06 has been sold. It was gorgeous too.

The petite flower is one of my favorites and has a nice, pretty detail in the gallery. =)2

Edited to add, just ask them to refine the prong tips as much as possible to make them as small as possible.

Of those two I definitely like the flower one as well. Definitely ask them to refine the prongs as @rockysalamander said. :appl:
