So if you were him which one will you take? He only wants D or E, VS1 and above, 0.75ct++, buget cap at $4500. Color and clarity are his personal preference.
1) 0.808 E VS1 Expert Selection from White Flash $4420.67

2) 0.76 E VS1 Blue Nile Signature $4438 minus $100 discount from refer code so it is $4338

Number 3 is a bit over budget:
3) 0.802 D VS1 ACA $4,790.85

Hi ChloeLê,

I would respect the budget and choose 1 from the 2 first diamonds, they should both be gorgeous!

Forgot this: if D-E color is so important, I would more trust GIA.
I think AGS is sometimes more lenient for color.
My 1.56ct was told to be a M by Brian, AGS says it is a L.
My 1.30 has 2 certificates: AGS I color, GIA J color...
So...

Thank you so much QueenMum, my friend also concerns about that, he's afraid that the E of AGS may be F of GIA, so I will tell him to get the second stone. But I wonder that as long as it is in colorless range may AGS still be lenient than GIA?

Does he have a preference to a setting from either of the two vendors? They all look to be very nice stones.

I don't know that!
Whiteflash has an upgrade policy, BlueNile doesn't.
That's important too!

The upgrade policy is a good point.

I'm not sure my anecdotal evidence is worth much here, but I just bought an AGS E which my appraiser called an E. I was really scared of a color grading discrepancy, too, which is one reason I paid for the appraisal. Actually, the appraiser's initial reaction was, "It's definitely whiter than an F, maybe a D-E". Then, I had him check the color of all of my other AGS stones and my GIA D. My AGS E, F, and G all checked out exactly as graded. He did actually hesitate for a moment on the D grade of my pear, but ultimately agreed.

Not trying to discount anyone else's experience, just wanted to point out that they are not always wrong!
