Hello,

I have a princess cut solitaire E-ring. I have had it for two years and now it is starting to wiggle. I can even hear it rattling when I shake it. I have been to a few different jewelry stores, and they all have refused to fix it because I didn''t buy it there. Today I went to a jewelry repair shop who said that they can fix but would not be liable if it broke because it is a princess cut and the corners break easily. My problem is that my fiancee bought my ring from diamond.com, so obviously I just can''t take it there to get fixed. So what do I do?

Is your ring insured? I would call the insurance company and tell them that the jewelers won''t take responsibility for the diamond and see if it is covered under your policy. If it isn''t insured, I would get it insured and make sure they will cover it if a jeweler damages it. In the meantime, don''t wear it!

Good luck!

every mall in my area, has a "while you wait" jewelry repair. just a regular solitare?

I got my loose solitaire ring tightened at one of those "while you wait" shops, and it only took 15 minutes, they cleaned the ring, and it''s all safe now! Those stores are actually quite good.
