Help! Opinions on a green sapphire please?

I am dying to hear if the second stone is more to your liking, @crashsle!

I'm so sorry, things have been a bit mad over here. We obviously thought it would be smart to sell our house and try finding a rental when I'm still one armed and packing and cleaning to a level I want before the pictures is so stressful!

The stone looks great, I haven't received it yet but I'll attach more pictures they've sent below. There's a comparison with the previous stone too so you can see what a huge improvement it is IMO. I'm also ordering the little pink emerald cut sapphires. Unsure if I'll actually use them as side stones or if I might make a pair of earrings and keep the green sapphire as a solitaire but for $100 I want those little bad boys!

And yes we can totally be friends! I have plenty of openings

This one below really shows the turquoise nature of the stone I returned that I really wasn't loving at all.

Wow, that thing is huge! Oh yes, I see a big difference in hue. The new stone looks to have more of that warmer, earthy vibe you were after. And those wee pink emeralds are delightful! In seeing that stone next to pink now, and how complimentary they are together, I wonderful if it would be interesting to set it in rose gold? Anyway! Do keep us posted when you receive the stones. And please take it easy with your move!!

Just a little update to say the new sapphire arrived and my search is over! I love it and ultimately maybe there is a *better* stone out there, but this is what I'd been wanting to find and I'm thrilled with it.

I have zero skill in taking videos of stones, but it shows the sparkle it has out of direct light before it starts slipping . I've also stuck a couple of photos here, please ignore the state of my hands!

I'll maybe be back with an update when the ring is complete if people are interested. I think the little pink sapphires are going to go into a pair of earrings to match the blue sapphires I got for my Mum. I did find some little round pink melee stones on etsy so I'll see if they end up sneaking into the ring somewhere!

The stone is beautifully earthen... just what you were after. And HUGE! Are you a nature lover, @crashsle? I feel like this sapphire is very woodland fairy-esque. Now, will you set it in white, yellow, or rose gold? I vote rose (my 1st choice) or yellow. I'm not sure white will do much to enrich the palette.

I absolutely love being in nature, although as much as I'm excited for my woodland/flower garden ring the empty coast on a stormy day will always have my heart!

I know so many people on here love having options and pieces in different colored metals, but I get very OCD and I need everything matching at all times. I don't even know why because I've seen mixed metals on others and if it's done well it looks amazing! I won't even buy a bag if any exposed metal hardware isn't gold . Where's a facepalm emoji when you need it?!

Although im getting brave enough to wear different coloured earings to necklaces ....but all 3 pairs od earings have to be the same
I think green is naturally at home in yellow gold

I think it's beautiful!! I love that color green and it will look gorgeous in yellow gold. What color pink melee did you buy? Also, lavender melee would look pretty with this green, too. Either could give that look of a lush forest with little wildflowers blooming in it. Oh my- now I want one!!!!!

It's been such a long time coming, but I thought that maybe the CS lovers would appreciate the end of the green sapphire search!

The stone was originally set by someone locally and sadly it really didn't live up to my expectations. It took a few months, but I went back to the drawing board and reached out to Retrouvai for some help and the end result really helps the stone sing.

Circumstances chance and I'm needing to say goodbye to this piece now, but so much love went in to getting this ring right that I wanted it to make an appearance over here!
