Looking for a diamond to go in a solitaire setting. Color is not that important to her something around I to K. Whats more important are size, cut, and clarity. Definitely want something eye clean. Want to go as big as possible with a budget of about 8,500 while still having good cut and clarity. Not looking for a perfect diamond. Thanks for any help.

Welcome!

I just wanted to clarify, would you consider SI clarity which is verified eyeclean by a trusted vendor, or would you rather stay at VS and above and go lower on colour?

Just had a quick look, here are some examples for you.

The diamond above is a lot of diamond for the money and an M colour if you are open to that, it also has very strong blue fluorescence which could help it face up whiter, check it is eyeclean to your standards also by asking Wink the vendor.

I thought I would add an L colour also.

Lorelei picked out some great stones. You might ask Wink at HPD's to do a video with the J, L, and M to see what differences you see, or not!

Thank you both ladies! I am happy to make the video if requested, HOWEVER it is important to note that videos often do not tell the tale, the whole tale and nothing but the tale, so help me...

Oops, this is not a courtroom drama novel, so sorry.

As I was supposed to be saying...

Videos can be nice, but they are not definitive and I try to tell people what I am seeing as well as what the camera is seeing, but videos alone should NOT be considered conclusive.

Wink''s truth in videos department.

Totally agree with Wink that photos and video cannot help with deciding on color. He has great stones, though, and I''d trust his description of the color! I''d personally stick with I and J and would consider K with strong flourescence. Lorelei has linked some beautiful stones!

You are correct sir. I should have said, see if one is perhaps worth bringing home for an up close and personal inspection.

Just to be sure, I was complimenting you and thanking you for the kind words, I only added my soliloquy because I did not wish to mislead the OP. I know YOU know these things, I just wanted to make sure User04 does too.

No need to explain Wink, I knew what all you were saying (and rightly so). But thank you anyway.
